Alligator Blood has returned to racing in fine style.
He looked a run short of a gallop first-up at Sandown, and he will strip fitter here.
He beat some of the best weight-for-age gallopers in Australasia fresh and meets a similar field on Saturday.
From a middle gate, he will push forward, and if he can lead uncontested, I am unsure how they can beat him.
His win in the Group 1 Champions Mile during the spring reads well for this event, and this has been a targeted race for some time.
He will lead them at the clock tower and fight them off in the shadows.
Next Best - All Star Mile

Mr Brightside $6.00
Mr Brightside looks poised to strike third-up from a spell.
Both runs this preparation has been fantastic, and I expect a peak performance on Saturday.
His record at the mile is outrageous, and he is undefeated at The Valley.
From barrier two, he should get the run of the race, and if he sees daylight on straightening, watch out!
He is an owner’s dream, and a win here would be true to form.
If Alligator Blood makes some tiny strides late, he will be there to capitalise.
Best Roughie - All Star Mile

Alenquer is an exciting runner.
The former French galloper boasts some serious form lines, and his best performances read exceptionally well for this event.
His first-up record must be respected, and he has run well at the distance in previous campaigns.
I am still determining if this is a targeted race, however, I expect him to run well for his new stable.
If the leaders go too hard in the middle stages, he could finish over the top of his rivals.
He is a must for all multiples and broader exotics.
