Amelia's Jewel $4.20

Amelia’s Jewel was disappointing last start in the Group 1 Toorak Handicap.

There didn’t seem to be any excuses, and the camp were left scratching their heads.

Her form prior was near faultless, and I dare say this has been the long-range target.

From the middle gate, she can sit midfield with cover, and if she is presented with her run at the right time, I expect her to prove too strong late.

Take on trust!

Kovalica is arguably the unluckiest horse in Sydney.

The Ocean Park gelding keeps finding trouble in transit, and his followers are close to booking in for therapy.

From the carpark draw, he will drift back and give his rivals a head start, and if he doesn’t get too far out of his ground during the early stages of the race, he can figure in the finish.

His racing pattern and style will always require an element of luck.

Think About It $1.70

Think About It was a brilliant last-start winner in the $20,000,000 Everest.

He stamped his authority late and held off his challengers while climbing the biggest mountain of them all!

The So You Think gelding has a near-perfect career record and is looking to make it ten victories in a row on Saturday.

Stepping out to 1300m looks ideal at this stage of his preparation, and he should get the dream run in transit from barrier three.

Winners keep on winning!

Private Eye looks the likely danger after producing a brilliant spring campaign to date.

His first-up win was breathtaking, and he was brave second-up, covering more ground than the early settlers in the Everest.

The Al Maher gelding won this race last year, and he is arguably racing in better form 12 months later.

Best Roughie - Rosehill Race 5

Robusto $9.00/$3.30

Robusto was good without threatening first-up.

The Churchill gelding strips fitter and he looks dangerous stepping out in distance.

He traditionally races well second-up from a spell, and the apprentice claim could prove the winning difference.

Over the odds!

Overriding will have supporters after finishing on the heels of a smart one fresh.

The Star Turn mare is undefeated at the distance, and she looks dangerous jumping from an inside gate.

The talented four-year-old has been crunched in early betting, and I suspect the market support will continue until the barriers open.

She could be the real deal!

$66 for 50%

Think About It and Private Eye can battle it out in Giga Kick Stakes, while Amelia’s Jewel can bounce back in the $10,000,000 Golden Eagle.

Hawaii Five Oh, Attrition, Pericles, Kovalica, and Legarto all go into the second leg for insurance purposes in what could be a rough, fast, and unforgiving affair!

Canberra Legend looks to have the penultimate event at his mercy, while it’s a field job in the day’s final event.

Best of luck!
