Best Bet - Doomben Race 8

Jimmysstar $3.00
Jimmysstar is fast approaching D-Day!
All runs this preparation have been good without threatening, and the big boy is starting to become expensive to follow for the punters.
His best performance here will prove fences and panels too strong for his rivals, and he is simply too classy to dismiss.
The soft track is advantageous, and Doomben will suit his racing pattern and style.
Watch for him late!
Private Eye is a marvel.
The rising nine-year-old rarely produces a poor performance, and his versatility alone puts him into winning calculations.
The current track conditions suit him to a tee, and he comes in well under the weight-for-age scale.
He will look the winner as they run for the doctor.

Middle Earth $6.00
Middle Earth has been teasing since the Moon-landing.
The Roaring Lion gelding doesn’t win out of turn, however; he always puts the writing on the wall.
His performance in the race that stops the nation was enormous, and I suspect he has been trained to the minute for his third-up assignment.
His record at the trip suits, and he has been specked at a price.
Ready to win!
Sea King is over the odds.
Both runs this campaign have caught the eyes of punters, and I suspect he is ready to explode on Saturday.
The key appointment of Zac Purton should raise eyebrows, and he has been screaming out for the 2000m since Hamlet was being written.
Acid test!

Soverato $10.00/$3.00
Soverato resumes after a rock-solid autumn preparation.
The Vadamos filly looked the winner in the Adrian Knox, and she was game in defeat in the Group 1 ATC Oaks.
Her residual fitness should be through the roof, and a recent barrier trial looked ominous.
From the wide gate, she will settle back and find her hooves, and if she can stay in touch with the peloton throughout, she will make her presence felt late.
Over the odds!
Accidental Bid gains a gurnsey after missing out on a start in the South Australian Derby.
The former European galloper has upside and potential for days, and he has put his rivals to the sword in his only two appearances down under.
His turn of foot is significant, and he looks destined for bigger and better things.
The significant class rise is the primary concern.
QUADDIE
Q
$128 for 100%
Happy to stay out of opening leg of the quaddie.
Nothing would surprise, and I suspect it could be a blowout in a tricky edition of the Bright Shadow.
Middle Earth, Royal Supremacy, Sea King, and Nellie Leylax, will fly the flag in the Jra Chairman’s Handicap, while our best bet Jimmysstar can get the chocolates in the Group 1 Doomben 10,000.
Accidental Bid and Soverato will determine our fate late in the day.
Best of luck!
