Autumn Glow $1.30

Autumn Glow will be the headline act on Saturday.

The Autumn Sun mare has won fourteen out of her fifteen career starts, and she looks incredibly well placed here.

She is undefeated at the trip, and she is suited under the weight-for-age scale.

Barrier two allows the super freak James McDonald plenty of options in the run, and I expect her to prove too strong late.

Winners keep on winning!

Tom Kitten was good without winning at his latest outing.

He chased hard against a pedestrian tempo, and I suspect he strips fitter from his eye-catching performance.

He won the All-Star Mile back-to-back at the track and distance, and the key appointment of Mark Zahra should add some spice into the race.

The major danger to the short-priced favourite.

Tempted $1.90

Tempted was ultra-impressive in the Everest, beating the world’s best horse, Ka Ying Rising.

She is building an impressive picket fence next to her name, and she looks well placed facing the usual suspects.

Her record at six furlongs is exceptional, and her recent trip to Flemington for a gallop looked ominous.

Her versatility alone gives her a competitive edge over her rivals, and Chad Schofield has won six events from six rides on the bonny mare.

Hard to toss.

Skybird was enormous late in the Sydney Stakes.

The Exosphere mare savaged the line from a different postcode, and she was blocked from a run at a key stage.

The 2025 Lighting winner loves Flemington, and her win two starts back was arrogant.

I am unsure the inside draw is advantageous.

Sir Delius $8.00/$2.50

Sir Delius is fast approaching D-Day.

His performance in the W.S. Cox Plate was ok without threatening, and I suspect the camp is running out of excuses.

The big boy is ready to peak, and he finds his pet track and distance on Saturday.

His best is more than good enough, and I wouldn’t be surprised if this event has been his target all along.

Take on trust!

Birdman looked the winner at his latest outing.

The Free Eagle gelding was only nabbed right on the wire by a smart one, and I expect him to fight out the finish here.

His record at the trip is outrageous, and headquarters suits his racing pattern and style.

He might need some luck getting off the dulex as they run for the doctor.

QUADDIE

Q

$120 for 50%

Tempted has one hoof on the till in the Champions Sprint.

The Everest winner is airborne; however, Joliestar and Skybird gain a gurnsey for quaddie insurance purposes.

Autumn Glow looks extremely hard to beat in the Champions Mile, while we have a handful of runners flying the flag in an open and even edition of the Champions Stakes.

It’s a field job in the final event for Melbourne Cup week.

Best of luck!
