Best Bet - Ascot Race 2

Truly Inspired $2.30

Truly Inspired looks the best bet of the day on a tricky program.

The lightly-raced six-year-old is in career-best form and can win again on Saturday.

He won easily last start despite lumping 60kg.

I don’t think he beat any champions last start, but it was an impressive and effortless victory.

It will be interesting to see how far he gets in his career.

With William Pike aboard, barrier 3, and 55.5kg, he could start even money.

Next Best - Ascot Race 1

Charlie Jane $6.50

Plenty of value in the opening event of the day.

Despite only two runners having had a race start, I am confident we have found an excellent each-way investment.

Charlie Jane is by a Group winner and looked classy at the public jumpouts.

She is a special type, and there is a boom around her.

Home James must be respected being by the Japanese Champion Maurice. Watch betting.

Platinum Shot will have fans with William Pike aboard from an inside draw.

Best Roughie - Ascot Race 8

13

Searchin' Roc's $15/$4.20

Searchin’ Roc’s can win here on the quick backup.

She qualified for this race with a tough and narrow win last Saturday.

Drawn perfectly to get a soft run-in transit, she can sit off the pace before striking late.

Despite the significant class rise, she is over the odds.

Trix Of The Trade must be respected with a near-perfect track record. He is talented with plenty of upsides.

The talented Devoted will get us off to a flyer in the first leg of the quaddie.

We have taken some insurance in the second and third legs by going slightly wider than probably required.

Looking for a rough result in the last leg.
