Premier League Match Week 10, Tips and Previews

Brighton & Hove Albion vs. Tottenham

October 9th

After the crushing London Derby loss to Arsenal last week, Tottenham has to regroup to keep their good early form on track. That won’t be made any easier following a red card to Emerson Royal. Keeper Hugo Lloris will have to put the nightmare of last week’s three goals behind him while further up the pitch, Harry Kane holds the key to ticking the score over.

Tottenham will not have an easy run of it against a Brighton team that sits just one game behind them. A 3-3 draw with Liverpool last week proved they are not backwards in coming against the English football powerhouses. Leandro Trossard has been outstanding this season and should relish the big stage again this week. Their main concern is the health of Enock Mwepu, who remains doubtful.

Spurs will be keen to avoid a third consecutive week without a win and should prevail in this one.

SUGGESTED BET:

Draw or Tottenham win at $1.44

Arsenal vs. Liverpool

October 10th

There’s always plenty at stake when these two iconic clubs clash, and this week will be no different. But it’s been a contrasting season so far, with the Gunners a game clear at the top of the table while Liverpool languishes in ninth.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is loathed to talk titles just yet, but the case is mounting thanks to some stunning form from Gabriel Jesus, who has five goals for the season so far. Complemented by Bukayo Saka and Thomas Partey, Jesus is a formidable force for any opposition.

Liverpool is in all sorts of trouble even at this early stage with minimal output from Darwin Nunez, but a mid-week win over Rangers will steal them.

It would take a mighty effort for the Reds to win this one, and it’s hard to look anywhere other than Arsenal here.

SUGGESTED BET:

Arsenal win into Gabriel Jesus to score at $3.90

Everton vs. Manchester United

October 10th

Everton is full of confidence, while Manchester United have been in a slump, reeling after a poor Manchester derby last week.

The Toffees are building momentum under manager Frank Lampard manager, guided by a rock-solid back four. Last week’s comeback win over Southampton has them up and about, and Damian Gray and Neal Maupay are looking more dangerous each week and will be a significant factor under the lights at Goodison Park.

It’s hard to see any area working well for the Red Devils at the moment. The Cristiano Ronaldo situation is a distraction, but a mid-week Europa League win should give them some belief, as would the possible unveiling of Brazilian star Casemiro.

Everton rarely goes into a game like this with the edge, and even though the markets lean toward Manchester United, there is some value in the host team.

SUGGESTED BET:

Everton head to head at $3.20

Newcastle vs. Brentford

October 9th

A comprehensive 4-1 win over Fulham last week has Newcastle United in the box seat for this game, and they will be looking to rise from seventh on the table sooner rather than later.

On their day, Brentford can be giant killers, having recently smashed Leeds and Manchester United, but inconsistency has been their achilles heel.

They had plenty of opportunities in last week’s 0-0 draw against Bournemouth, and if Ivan Toney and Josh Dasilva can take their opportunities, they will be right in the hunt here.

SUGGESTED BET:

Newcastle win into Ivan Toney to score at $6.50
