Caulfield October 12th, Tips and Previews

Best Bet - Caulfield Race 8

1

Broadsiding $1.60

Broadsiding is the one to beat.

The Golden Rose winner is the real deal; he looks to have this race at his mercy.

The step out to a mile is advantageous, and he strips fitter after his breathtaking first-up victory at Rosehill.

His best performance here could be fences and panels better than his rivals, and I expect him to jump well into the red.

One foot on the till!

Public Attention can run a drum at a decent price.

The Written Tycoon colt has performed well in the traditional lead-up events, and I expect him to explode on Saturday.

The big boy is rock-hard fit, and I suspect he will get the run of the race from a perfect inside draw.

He will be thereabouts.

Next Best - Caulfield Race 9

2

Mornington Glory $4.00

Mornington Glory is building a picket fence next to his name.

His last-start victory in the Group 1 Moir Stakes was first-class, and he looks well placed dropping back to this grade.

The Shalaa gelding has fantastic tactical speed, and he is ultra-versatile.

If he can find the bunny uncontested, he may prove extremely hard to run down.

His record at Caulfield is the biggest query.

Recommendation is flying at present.

The enigmatic five-year-old recorded back-to-back victories at the start of his spring campaign, and he performed admirably in the Group 1 Manikato Stakes.

His record at the track and distance puts him into all winning conversations, and he has been well-supported since markets opened.

Ready to run the race of his life.

Best Roughie - Caulfield Race 10

6

Orchestral $10.00/$3.60

Orchestral caught the eyes fresh over seven-furlongs.

The Savabeel mare will appreciate the step out in trip, and she is undefeated second-up from a spell.

Her best form reads incredibly well for this event, and I suspect she is fully wound up to pinch a time-honoured Australian Group 1.

The classy four-year-old will get a perfect cart into the race from barrier six, and if she is presented with her run at the right time, I expect her to figure in the finish.

Another Wil is airbourne.

The Street Boss gelding is undefeated this campaign, and I suspect he has been trained to the minute for this event.

His record at the trip is outrageous, and he loves Caulfield more than Might And Power.

He may need the jaws of life to get off the dulex from the inside draw.

QUADDIE

Q

$50 for 100%

Mr Brightside and Atishu looked poised to battle it out in the Group 1 Might and Power.

Both ooze class, and I suspect they will meet each other in the shadows.

Broadsiding looks a moral in time-honoured Caulfield Stakes, while we have a handful of selections flying the quaddie flag in the Group 2 Schillaci Stakes.

Pericles, Antino, Another Wil, Orchestral, and Craig, will all be prominent in the Group 1 Toorak Handicap.

Best of luck!
