Storm Boy $2.30

Storm Boy has held favouritism for this event for months.

Both performances in his career to date have been first-class, and he looks to have the world at his feet.

The Justify colt has shown versatility beyond his years and experience, and his rivals could be racing for the minor end of the prize on Saturday.

Adam Hyeronimus will help the big boy pilot the field, and if he can dictate the tempo during the early stages, it could be curtains a long way from home.

Highness flew from the clouds to pinch the Wyong Magic Millions from Spywire in the shadows.

The Snitzel colt possesses a massive turn of foot, and he looks dangerous jumping from barrier four.

He can threaten late if he doesn’t get too far out of his ground during the middle stages.

He may need some luck getting off the paint as they run for the doctor.

Royal Tribute $10.00

Royal Tribute is tough as old boots!

The Snitzel colt dug deep late to win the Gosford Guineas fresh, and he looks poised to continue on his winning way.

The 1400m is perfect second-up, and if he can find the lead early, he will look the winner on straightening.

The awkward barrier and a potential early-speed battle could be his undoing.

Chrysaor will start race favourite despite a narrow last-start defeat at Doomben.

The Better Than Ready colt was a sitting duck late, and he was grabbed in the shadows.

He strips fitter after his recent outing, and with even luck in transit, I expect him to figure in the finish again.

His second-up record must be respected, and the avalanche of early money indicates he is ready to win over seven furlongs for the first time.

Show Me Mercy $13.00/$4.00

Show Me Mercy looks over the odds.

The Astern gelding was good first-up in the Gold Edition at Doomben, and he boasts impressive form around the classy Cifrado and Chrysaor.

He is coming off a forgive run where he had heat stress, and he should get every chance to bounce back with a soft run in-transit from barrier two.

The 1400m is in his wheelhouse and has been crunched at double-figure odds.

This is his acid test.

Rothfire is the major drawcard for this event.

He looks well placed in this company with form around the world-class sprinter Imperatriz and many Group victories under his belt.

The 61kg is an obstacle, and I am unsure he can continue to peak after a lengthy and taxing preparation.

Happy to take on.

$84 for 100%

Storm Boy and Highness are set to battle it out in the Magic Millions 2Yo Classic.

Both have irresistible form, and I expect the late money trail to lead directly to the well fancied runners.

The Magic Millions 3Yo Guineas is wider open than a tin of tuna, while the Magic Millions Cup looks a tricky affair.

Lady Laguna can finish the day on a winning note for favourite punters in the lucky last.
