Arkansaw Kid $2.30
Arkansaw Kid looks to have a mortgage on the Sandown Guineas.
The Harry Angel colt has been racing admirably at the top level, and he finds a winnable assignment here against easier opposition.
The step out to 1600m is advantageous, and he should get a dream in transit from the middle gate.
If Mark Zahra presses the go button at the right time, I expect him to prove too strong late.
Modown is very progressive.
The Toronado gelding has been performing well in lower grades, and he deserves his shot at this level on Saturday.
The mile will suit, I expect him to occupy the box seat throughout.
This is his acid test.

Duke De Sessa $5.00
Duke De Sessa is ready to win.
The Lope De Vega entire was game in defeat at his latest outing, and the drop back to 2400m could prove a training masterstroke.
From barrier two he should receive the run of the race, and if the gaps appear on straightening, I expect him to figure in the finish.
His recent winning record is the primary concern.
Muramasa is an owner’s dream.
The Deep Impact gelding doesn’t know how to perform poorly and has won three races on the bounce this campaign.
From the inside draw he can camp on the leaders back, and if the peloton leaves the kettle on during the race’s early stages, he can capitlaise late.
Can he produce another peak performance?
Best Roughie - Caulfield Race 9
6
Picaroon $9.00/$2.80
Picaroon is racing in great spirit.
The Fiorente mare is climbing through her grades successfully, and her recent winning effort at Flemington was ultra-impressive.
She is no stranger to the mile, and with even luck in transit, I expect her to be savaging the line late.
Nothing beats a mare in form!
Revolutionary Miss returned to the winners circle last weekend at Cranbourne.
She has been screaming out for the longer trip since the moon landing, and she should be rock-hard fit on the quick back-up.
The carpark draw and allocated grandstand weight are among the primary concerns.
QUADDIE
Q
$104 for 100%
Arkansaw Kid has one hoof on the till in the Sandown Guineas.
He has superior form, and he can get punters off to a flyer in the first leg of the quaddie.
Duke De Sessa and Muramasa can battle it out in the Zipping Classic, while Revolutionary Miss, Thalassophile, Frumos, and Picaroon will all be prominent in Summoned Stakes.
We have gone extremely wide in the Doveton Stakes, looking for some value and insurance.
Best of luck!
