NFL Week 12, Tips and Previews

Texans vs. Jaguars

November 27th

The Texans and Jaguars will clash in one of the most highly anticipated Week 12 match-ups, with the result going a long way to clinching the AFC South title at the end of the home and away season.

The top-ranked Jaguars will enter the match as $1.80 favourites one week after recapturing their best form and demolishing the Titans 34-14. Trevor Lawrence caught fire at QB with 262y and two TDS and found Calvin Ridley for a pair of TDs himself.

The Jags have now won six of their past seven, with their loss to the 49ers a blip in an otherwise dominant run.

As for the Texans, who sit one spot below the Jags in the AFC South, they’ve pieced together a nice three-game winning streak of their own. CJ Stroud ranks third in the NFL for passing and must be at his best to combat the red-hot Jags.

SUGGESTED BET:

Jacksonville (-1.5) at $1.95

Falcons vs. Saints

November 27th

There is arguably no closer title race than the NFC South, with just one win separating the Saints, Falcons, and Buccaneers in the top three spots.

After starting the season 4-3, the Falcons have undergone a disappointing run of three consecutive losses to the Cardinals, Vikings, and Titans. Their recent loss to the Cardinals was a low point as they became just the second team to go down to them this season.

The market suggests they’ll be unable to snap their form slump against the Saints, who currently sit as $1.80 favourites. While they lost to the Vikings in their most recent outing, the Saints still rank eighth for defense compared to the Falcons in 18th.

One of the closer match-ups on paper, we’re happy to take the $1.80 based largely on the news that Derek Carr has successfully passed the concussion protocol and been cleared to play.

SUGGESTED BET:

New Orleans to win at $1.80

Eagles vs. Bills

November 27th

Can the Bills cause an upset over the best team in the NFL?

That’s the one and only question going into this game as the 9-1 Eagles continue to take all before them en route to a potential Super Bowl.

There’s no better way to test your form than against the reigning champions, and it was the Eagles who ran out 21-17 winners over the Chiefs in Kansas City last week. Jalen Hurts and D’Andre Swift both found the endzone, but it was the Eagle’s defense that stood tall this week and allowed just 17 points from the Chiefs and 24/43 from Patrick Mahomes.

The Bills found form in their clash against the Jets, snapping a two-game losing streak and piling on 32 points to six. It was total domination by the Bills as they gained 393 yards to just 155 from the Jets.

If Josh Allen can repeat the dose of 272y and three TDS, the Bills might go closer than expected. But right now, no team is upsetting the high-flying Eagles.

SUGGESTED BET:

A.J. Brown first touchdown at $2.75
