Romantic Warrior can bounce back after falling short first-up in the Group 1 Turnbull Stakes.
The Acclamation gelding is undefeated second-up, and I expect him to benefit significantly from his Australian debut.
From barrier seven, he can sit in the one out one-out-one-back position, and when James McDonald clicks the big boy up, he will stare destiny in the face.
His record at the distance is outrageous, and I expect him to show his class on Saturday.
Alligator Blood is flying.
The All Too Hard gelding won the Group 1 Caulfield Stakes in a canter, and he should be rock-hard fit at this stage of his preparation.
From the middle gate, he will roll forward and pilot the field, and if he can stack them up before they turn for home, the fat lady will be singing at the top of the final furlong.
An early-speed battle may be his undoing.

Schwarz was a brilliant winner on debut at Gosford.
The Zoustar colt produced a string of impressive barrier trials before his debut romp, and he looks to have plenty of upside.
The progressive type will get the run of the race from barrier one, and if he can rail like a greyhound when they turn for home, he can prove too strong late.
The significant class rise is the primary concern.
Maharba is the ultimate professional.
The Pride Of Dubai gelding doesn’t know how to run a bad race, and he was a winner at the track and distance at his latest outing.
The form around him has stood up time and again; I suspect this has been a long-range targeted event.
The awkward barrier may decide his fate early.

The undefeated Paradise City is over the odds.
Both victories on the country circuit have turned heads, and the winning times recorded have backed up the impressive performances.
The Deep Field filly deserves her shot at this level, and if she can step away cleanly from the awkward gate, she will lead them a merry dance.
Acid test!
Inhibitions can win on the quick backup.
The significant drop in grade is advantageous, and she was good without threatening in a hot form race at her latest outing.
The Zoustar filly finds her pet distance, and I suspect she has the fitness edge over the majority of her rivals.
Her recent winning record is the primary concern.

Air Assault and Verdad can battle it out in the Group 2 Vase.
Both are running well, and I suspect the 2040m will be right up their alleys.
Imperatriz has one hoof on the till in the Group 1 Manikato Stakes, while Romantic Warrior, Mr Brightside, and Alligator Blood will all look the winner at the pointy end of the Group 1 W.S. Cox Plate.
Barber, Maharba, Archo Nacho, Loose On Gin, or Schwarz can finish the day on a winning note for the punters.
