Best Bet - Flemington Race 7

Mr Brightside $1.75

Mr Brightside is flying!

He seems to be improving with each preparation and has furnished into a serious and complete racehorse.

His win fresh in the P.B. Lawrence Stakes was a walk in the park, and his victory in the Memsie Stakes was a mere formality.

From barrier two, the talented Bullbars gelding can stalk the speed, and if he sees clear air as they run for the doctor, he will prove too strong late.

His record at Flemington is the only deterrent.

Alligator Blood is ready to win.

He was brave in the Memsie Stakes, and his second-up record is too brilliant to dismiss.

From barrier four, he will roll forward and pilot the field, and if he is allowed to dictate the tempo throughout, he can upset the favourite.

I’d prefer to support his case fresh over 1400m.

Benedetta $2.40

Benedetta was a brilliant winner, second-up at Caulfield.

The Hellbent mare remains undefeated for the campaign, and she is turning into a genuine sprinting superstar!

The talented four-year-old races well third-up from a spell, and her record at 1200m is perfect.

She excels at Flemington, and the 53kg puts one hoof on the till.

From barrier eight, she will sit midfield with over, and if she is presented with her run at the right time, I expect her to fight out the finish.

The class rise is her biggest test!

Najem Suhail will have supporters after recording back-to-back wins.

The Starspangledbanner gelding has been progressing through the grades nicely, and he deserves his shot at this level on Saturday.

From barrier one, he will roll forward and look for the lead, and if he can pinch some cheap sectionals during the race’s early stages, he will look the winner at the clock-tower.

I am yet to decide if the inside draw is advantageous.

Best Roughie - Flemington Race 4

Maharba $15.00/$4.00

Maharba turned heads at a recent barrier trial.

The Pride Of Dubai gelding has an exceptional first-up record and has tasted success at Flemington during a previous campaign.

The form around Shinzo reads well for this event, and he has been specked at a price since markets opened.

From barrier ten, he will drift back and watch the race unfold, and if the leaders spend their pennies before the final furlong, he can nab his rivals late.

Over the odds!

I Am Unstoppable is the real deal.

His last 200m behind Cylinder first-up was eye-catching, and I am confident he broke most on-course clocks.

The large Flemington track will suit his racing pattern and style, and if he can stay in touch with the peloton during the early stages of the race, he can figure in the finish.

Big watch!

QUADDIE

Q

$64 for 100%

Our best bet Mr Brightside, who can get our quaddie off to a flyer.

The brilliant six-year-old has the spring at his mercy, and his rivals are running for second place in the feature event, the Makybe Diva Stakes.

Amelia’s Jewel will dominate the Let’s Elope Stakes, while King Of Sparta, It’sourtime, Benedetta, and Najem Suhail will fight out the Bobbie Lewis Quality.

We have gone extremely wide in the lucky last, looking for some value and insurance.
