I Am Me $2.60

I Am Me has returned to racing in fine style.

The I Am Invincible mare has lofty spring goals ahead, and I expect Saturday’s assignment to be a mere formality.

From barrier seven, she will roll forward and sit on top of the speed, and if she can stack the field up before straightening, I expect her to win with a leg in the air.

The Maher and Eustace galloper has been absolutely crunched since markets opened, and I suspect she will start close to even money.

Zapateo will have supporters after producing a string of eye-catching barrier trials.

The Brazen Beau mare has a sensational first-up record and is a 1200m specialist.

She looks dangerous jumping from an inside alley, and if the favourite has an off day, she will be there to capitalise late.

Encap $4.20

Encap produced blistering closing sectionals at his latest outing.

The Capitalist gelding is knocking on the door, and he is arguably Australia’s best maiden!

The form around him reads exceptionally well for this event, and he has been crying out for the 1400m.

His racing pattern and style will always require an element of luck.

Tom Kitten was a brilliant winner fresh.

He is undefeated second-up, and the step out in distance is ideal at this campaign stage.

If he can overcome jumping from a different suburb, he can win again.

His fate may be decided during the first furlong.

Nadal $21.00/$4.40

Nadal is untapped!

The Xtravagant colt caught the eyes of punters at his latest outing, and he looks to have a stack of natural improvement to come.

The step out to 1200m is ideal, and the Maher and Eustace polish should always be considered.

He can sit in the box seat from barrier two, and if the gaps appear at the right time, he can figure in the finish at juicy odds.

This is his acid test!

Cylinder was a narrow winner at Caulfield fresh.

The Exceed And Excel colt has been competitive at the top level his whole career and looks well placed in this company.

If he has taken any improvement from his first-up performance, he will be thereabouts again.

A flat second-up run is the primary concern.

QUADDIE

Q

$117 for 50%

Tom Kitten and Encap will fight out the opening leg of the quaddie.

Both are racing in great spirit, and I can’t wait to see them tackle the final furlong.

Cylinder, Libertad, and Nadal will be prominent in The Run To The Rose, while it’s a field job in the penultimate event.

Red Card, Airman, and Smashing Eagle look to have the lucky last between them.

Leg 1: 3, 5
Leg 2: 2, 3, 10
Leg 3: Field
Leg 4: 4, 11, 13
