Ellen's Licence $2.40

Ellen’s Licence is flying!

The Turffontein mare resumed in fine style, and she looks to have plenty of upside.

The step out in distance is advantageous, and the 2kg apprentice claim could prove the winning difference.

She handles all track conditions, and there has been a flood of money for the rising five-year-old.

The class rise is her biggest challenge.

Beour Bay will have supporters after a successful campaign.

The Cable Bay mare is in career-best form, and she arguably should be undefeated this campaign.

From barrier one, she can sit in the box seat; if the leaders spend their pennies early, she can capitalise late.

She looks well-placed meeting similar opposition and loves the sting out of the track.

Her record at the distance is the primary concern.

Next Best - Sandown Race 6

Rivkin $12.00/$3.80

Rivkin showed determination and grit at his latest outing.

He fought his rivals on speed throughout and remarkably grabbed victory in the shadows.

The significant drop in grade is advantageous, and he looks to have one hoof on the till after the 3kg apprentice claim comes into play.

The Pariah gelding grows an extra leg in the wet, and he should be rock-hard fit at this stage of his preparation.

The awkward barrier is his biggest obstacle.

Setteveli is a 1200m specialist.

The Astern gelding was slightly disappointing in stronger company at Flemington two starts back before improving sharply at his latest outing at Mornington.

From the inside draw, he can get the run of the race, and if the gaps appear on straightening, I expect him to figure in the finish.

It may pay dividends to watch for any significant market support.

King Of Pharaohs $18.00/$4.80

King Of Pharaohs is knocking on the door!

The American Pharoah gelding is racing in great spirit, and he will appreciate the sting out of the ground on Wednesday.

The step out to 2400m looks ideal at this stage of the preparation, and I suspect a peak run for the campaign is just around the corner.

From barrier six, Craig ‘Froggy’ Newitt can sit midfield with cover, and if he is presented with his run at the right time, I expect him to figure in the finish.

His winning record is the primary concern.

Alhambra Lad will start favourite after recording back-to-back victories.

The Proisir gelding meets easier opposition here and will thrive in the soft conditions.

He needs to beat the handicapper and the allocated weight.

$60 for 50%

Funnyifitwon can get our quaddie off to a flyer.

The Patrick Payne-trained runner is flying this campaign, and he looks well-placed to continue on his winning ways on Wednesday.

Rivkin, Setteveli, Bitoftheblarney, and The Swooper can battle out the second leg, while Jack Of It and Brave Star have the penultimate event at their mercy.

We have gone extremely wide looking for some value and insurance in the lucky last!
