Jacquinot $2.25
Jacquinot has returned to racing in fine style.
He remains undefeated this preparation, and I expect him to figure in the finish on Saturday.
Last start, he beat some of the country’s best weight-for-age gallopers and meets his own age group here.
I am unsure how they can beat him if he can overcome an awkward barrier draw.
The valuable Rubick colt has the world at his feet.
Amenable looks poised to strike second-up from an inside draw.
His form around Pericles reads well for this event, and his ability to produce sizzling late sectionals must be respected.
If the favourite has a torrid run from the draw, he could be Johnny on the spot late.
Elliptical is too classy to leave out of winning conversations.
His win fresh was sensational, and the mile is advantageous second-up.

On The Lead $4.00
On The Lead is having a breakthrough preparation.
He flew from the clouds at Sandown two starts back and chased home the Group 1 competitive Star Patrol at his latest outing.
The I Am Invincible gelding looks well placed in this grade, and he should get the run of the race from barrier one.
His track record is the primary concern.
Kallos will start favourite after trialling impressively leading into this event.
His form around Oakleigh Plate placegetter Asfoora reads exceptionally well for this, and he loves the Flemington straight.
The Jamie Kah and James Cummings combination will attract market support.
I am prepared to forgive Oxley Road after a rare last-start failure.
He runs well second up, and his record at the track must be respected.
Best Roughie - Flemington Race 5

Queen Air $10/$3.00
Queen Air can peak third-up from a spell here.
She was a winner fresh at Warrnambool before racing without luck in a higher grade.
The mile is advantageous, and I expect the Toronado filly to get the run of the race from an inside draw.
Kettle Hill will start favourite despite being a bigger tease than my Mrs.
He has promised the world and delivered an Atlas since arriving in Australia.
The lightly raced six-year-old has started favourite in all four runs this preparation, however, he is yet to run a drum.
He can win without me.
Ima Shelby is honest and ultra-consistent.
He will give a good sight on top of the speed.
QUADDIE
Q
$72 for 100%
Jacquinot is the standout selection in the second leg of the quaddie.
He looks well placed to continue on his winning ways, and he is easily the best bet on a very even racing program.
We have gone skinny in the remaining events looking for a healthy percentage and, hopefully, a strong return on investment.
Best of luck!
