Best Bet - Race 5

3

Art Cadeu $4.2

Trainer Terry Robinson has had this race on his mind ever since Art Cadeu dominated the Highway Handicap scene last preparation where the sprinter won four out of his six starts.

He has been chimed up for this race with a very sharp 1000-metre trial at Hawkesbury that looked very impressive to the eye.

He combines with Tommy Berry again and draws a barrier that will see him perched and ready to pounce at the top of the straight.

Very tough to see him being beaten should he get the run-in-transit predicted.

Next Best - Race 6

3

Standout $7.5/$2.2

Standout brings in arguably the best form to this race after being beaten by start sprinter Masked Crusader.

He looked all over the winner in the 1200-metre event he contested last start, but was run down late by the Hawkes galloper who is a Group 1 winner.

This race looks much easier on paper than the opposition he faced a fortnight ago.

Having now had the 1200-metre run this preparation, his fitness will be peaking and he will be sprint hard off what looks to be a fast-run race.

Best Roughie - Race 8

9

Lions Roar $11/$3.7

Improved with the blinkers going on last start and gets up to a distance where we will see his best.

The lead looks up for grabs here and Tommy Berry can stride to the front here.

It will be the first time this gelding will have ever the led with the blinkers going on and that is often a great recipe for success.

This is a set up to back in at double-figure odds.

QUADDIE

Q

$96 for 200%

A tricky quaddie where the favourites are well found and will be very hard to beat, but the big fields might throw up some odd results.

Going with the top three in the market for The Everest and will go wide in the last leg with a plethora of chances.

Leg 1: 1, 2, 3
Leg 2: 1, 9, 10, 12
Leg 3: 1, 2, 4, 9, 14
Leg 4: 1, 2, 3, 8, 12, 15

Outlay: $180
Flexi Percentage = 50%
