Best Bet - Race 8

7

Ghodeleine $3.5

The best bet on the card comes in the Moe Cup with Ghodeleine.

This seven-year-old mare has had a fantastic preparation and looks to set to cap it off with a feature country cup victory after a brave effort at Moonee Valley behind Secret Blaze last start.

The wet track at Moe will only enhance her chances against a field that is not in great form nor fit as what she is.

Looks a great bet from a barrier that is going to get her to the best part of the track late in the program.

Next Best - Race 2

4

Major Impact $2

Will never get a better chance to win his maiden race.

Damian Lane has opted to stay aboard this four-year-old gelding which is a good sign.

This horse possesses a good fitness base and a better turn of foot than anything in this field.

Lane should be able to bounce towards the lead from an inside barrier and then angle his way to the middle of the home straight where the best ground will likely be.

Best Roughie - Race 4

11

Vibrant Angel $31/$6.5

Forget she ever went around at Moe when resuming from a spell.

She got back in race that clearly did not suit over 1100 metres and was holding her spot to the line on a wet track that did not suit backmarkers.

A very interesting choice by local trainer Daryl Blackshaw to rise her sharply up in distance to 1600 metres as well as the booking Beau Mertens.

There is every chance Mertens will push forward from the wide barrier in a much slower race than last start and that is where we see this mare getting her advantage.

QUADDIE

Favourite looks a massive risk in the first leg after being significantly advantaged in the run at Moonee Valley last start.

Our best bet comes up in the third leg which is where find our percentage boost.
