Resumed with a big run at Randwick over 1400 metres when settling too far back in the field and having to make up far too much ground to be considered a winning hope.
He ran some solid late sectionals in that event which would be good enough to be winning this race and he gets the chance to put to good use his city form.
Barrier one gives James McDonald the opportunity to settle at least four to six lengths closer to the leaders than he did last start which is going have him within striking distance at the corner.
Expect him to win this as he returns to Saturday grade the start after.

Seems a slight stab in the dark in here, but Pacific Warrior gets a few gear chances that might see her improve out of sight.
The three-year-old colt has showed early speed in his two debut runs and failed to let down strongly in either of them.
Hoping the jockey change to senior city hoop Jason Collett can also get this horse’s mind on the job.
