My Gladiola $1.95

My Gladiola has one hoof on the till.

The I Am Invincible filly was ultra-impressive on debut, and she looks to have a mortgage on this event.

A recent barrier trial will have her spot on for Saturday’s 1100m scamper, and I suspect with further improvement to come, she will start the Blue Diamond favourite.

How she handles Caulfield from the carpark draw may determine her fate.

Palm Angel can pounce if the odds-on commodity has an off day or experiences traffic issues.

The Starspangledbanner filly has been near faultless to date, and the step out in trip is ideal at this stage of her campaign.

From the middle gate, she will take up a prominent role, and if she can stack them up before they run for the doctor, she will look at the winner inside the final furlong.

Hard to knock her current form.

Another Wil $4.20

Another Wil is ready to taste Group 1 success.

The Street Boss gelding has been a revelation the last eighteen-months, and he gets his chance on Saturday to have his moment in the sun.

Barrier three will allow to occupy the box-seat throughout, and if the gaps appear at the right time, he can record his first victory at the elite level.

I suspect he has more progression and upside than his rivals, and I expect his quote will shorten significantly before the barriers open.

Acid Test!

Mr Brightside is a champion.

The rising nine-year-old is showing no signs of slowing down, and his career record is exceptional.

He loves a Caulfield first-up more than Donald Trump loves a headline, and only a fool would write him off.

If he can find a spot from the tricky gate early, the Killers may be warming up the vocal cords as they run for the doctor.

What a marvel!

Reluctantlycharmed $16.00/$4.00

Reluctantlycharmed is over the odds.

The Invader filly is racing well at present, and she deserves her shot at this level.

Her record at the distance speaks volumes, and I suspect she has the fitness edge on the majority of her rivals.

If the peloton leaves the kettle on early, I expect her to swoop over the top of her more fancied opponents in the shadows.

Arabian Summer will have supporters after producing two impressive performances for the campaign.

The Too Darn Hot filly is ready to peak, and she looks well-placed in this company.

A recent barrier trial in Geelong was ominous, and she has been heavily supported in all-in markets.

The awkward gate is the primary concern.

QUADDIE

Evaporate, and Angel Capital can battle it out in the opening leg of the quaddie.

The classy and silky colts are both progressive, and I suspect they are in for career-defining campaigns.

We have a handful of selections in the Jra Plate, while Mr Brightside and Another Wil will lock horns in the feature event on the card.

Nothing would surprise in the lucky last.
