Via Sistina $1.70

Via Sistina has one hoof on the till.

The Fastnet Rock mare smashed the clock in the Cox Plate, and she left her rivals eight lengths behind in the process.

Her current campaign has included three Group 1 victories, and I suspect she will stamp her authority again on Saturday.

She is a superstar!

Atishu doesn’t know how to run a bad race.

The Savabeel mare claimed the Empire Rose in fine style and looks dangerous on the quick backup.

She is a track and trip specialist, and I expect her to be savaging the line late.

Too honest to dismiss!

Broadsiding $6.00

Broadsiding was tough and gritty late behind a star in the Cox Plate at his latest outing.

The Too Darn Hot colt was a victim of circumstances the start prior in the Caulfield Guineas, and his form this campaign is hard to fault.

The enigmatic three-year-old will appreciate the spacious Flemington circuit and looks well placed with 52kg.

The awkward barrier is the primary concern.

 Mr Brightside is ultra-consistent.

The Bullbars gelding has hardly put a foot wrong this preparation, and his record at the track and distance speaks volumes.

Barrier four is advantageous, and I suspect he will get the run of the race throughout.

He will be thereabouts.

Farhh Flung $12.00/$3.30

Farhh Flung is over the odds.

The Farhh gelding trialled exceptionally well leading into his first-up performance, and he was well supported before the barriers opened.

His fresh run at Moonee Valley was good without threatening. However, he was disqualified due to the jockey weighing in light.

His second up record is sound, and I suspect he can occupy the box seat from barrier three.

If he sees daylight as they run for the doctor, he will figure in the finish.

Nation’s Call will have supporters after an impressive first-up victory at Moe.

The Frankel gelding looks progressive, and his overall record is fantastic.

He can find the bunny from barrier two, and if he is left to his own devices on top of the speed, he may lead the field a merry dance.

$81 for 25%

We have gone extremely wide in a very open edition of the Champions Sprint.

Nothing would surprise here, and it could be the race of the meeting.

Similar story in the Champions Mile, while Via Sistina has the Champions Stakes at her mercy.

Pisanello looks poised to bring home the bacon for the punters in the lucky last.
