Via Sistina $2.10
Via Sistina was breathtaking first-up in the Group 1 Winx Stakes.
She sprouted wings late and put the writing on the wall for a huge spring preparation.
The step out to a mile is advantageous, and her second-up record must be respected.
In the small field, the talented seven-year-old can occupy the box seat throughout, and if the gaps appear before the clock tower, I expect her to prove too strong late.
Mr Brightside is a marvel.
The superstar was game in defeat first-up in the Group 1 Memsie Stakes, and he strips fitter after his recent outing.
The big boy won this event last year, and he looks poised to win back-to-back with even luck in transit.
I am unsure if he can match motors and toss the world-class mare!

Quintessa $5.00
Quintessa was ultra-impressive fresh over an unsuitable distance.
The step-out in the trip looks ideal, and she looks well placed against similar opposition.
She traditionally performs well second-up, and I suspect she is in for a monster spring preparation.
The awkward gate is her biggest obstacle.
See You In Heaven deserves her shot at this level.
Her win fresh was blistering, and she was game in defeat second-up in a hot form race.
She comes in well at the weights, and I am expecting her to threaten with the right run throughout.
This is her acid test!

Wolfy $12.00/$3.50
The people’s Wolfy makes a return to racing after underdoing the ultimate gear change.
The Tivaci gelding mixed his form last preparation, and I expect to see a sharp improvement now he is several kilograms lighter.
1200m is probably short of his best distance, and I suspect he will be savaging the line late.
If the leaders leave the kettle on early, the howler can upset his more fancied and more credentialed rivals.
Over the odds!
On form Nadal should be fences and panels better than his rivals.
The Xtravagant gelding has trialled exceptionally well leading into this event, and I suspect he will be fully wound up for a first-up tilt.
There has been an avalanche of early money for the Ciaron Maher-trained runner, and I expect his quote to continue to shorten before the barriers open on Saturday.
The lengthy layoff is the primary concern.
QUADDIE

$90 for 50%
Quintessa, See You In Heaven, Vagrant, and Wollombi will battle it out in the Let’s Elope Stakes.
All have plenty of upside, and I expect this race will produce a grandstand finish.
I am happy to stand out the world class mare Via Sistina in the Group 1 Makybe Diva Stakes.
Her win fresh was arrogant, and I suspect she will remain undefeated during the spring.
It’s a field job in the Bobbie Lewis Quality, while Positivity, Sea What I See, and Shaiyhar fly the flag for our quaddie hopes and dreams in the lucky last.
