Hedged $2.50

Hedged looks poised to strike.

The Capitalist gelding has been racing well without winning, and I suspect this event has been a long-range target.

The big boy is due for a change of fortune in transit, and Jamie Kah’s addition could prove the winning difference.

From barrier seven, he can sit midfield with cover, and if he is presented with his run at the right time, I expect him to prove too strong late.

Skirt The Law is knocking on the door.

The Better Than Ready filly has produced two ominous runs this campaign, and I suspect she is trained to explode third-up from a spell.

Barrier one is advantageous, and she has been well supported since markets opened.

Over the odds.

Fall For Cindy $7.50

Fall For Cindy is flying at present.

The Sacred Falls mare is building a picket fence next to her name, and she looks well-positioned as she steps out to the mile.

The Group 3 winner is ideally drawn in barrier one, and I suspect she has more upside than the majority of her rivals.

I expect her to fight out the finish if she sees clear running as the field turn for home.

La Crique will start one of the shortest-priced favourites at the meeting.

The Kiwi raider boasts superior form; her best effort here could destroy her rivals.

The Vadamos mare has a near-perfect record on the trip, and James McDonald’s services put her in all-winning conversations.

Her racing pattern and style will always require an element of good fortune.

Mare Of Mt Buller $9.00/$3.00

Mare Of Mt Buller will the relish the longer trip.

The Dundeel filly has been attacking the line from a minute back, and she looks ready to peak on Saturday.

From barrier two, she will save every inch of ground in transit, and if the gaps appear as they swing for home, she will loom to win.

Over the odds!

Scarlet Oak could be the real deal.

The Kermadec filly is building an impressive career record, and her last start victory in The Roses was brave and tenacious.

The start prior in Newcastle, the talented three-year-old won by furlong easing down, and she put the writing on the wall for a huge future.

The carpark draw and step out in distance are her biggest obstacles.
