Autumn Angel $2.50
Autumn Angel looks the best bet on a very exciting program of racing.
The Autumn Sun filly was good without winning at her latest outing, and the step out to 2400m plays into her favour.
Her victory two starts back over the world-class Orchestral reads extremely well for this event, and she should get all the favours in the run from barrier one.
The two-kilogram advantage over the boys could prove the winning difference, and her camp are notching up victories for fun at present.
Hard to toss!
Tannhauser was an impressive first-up winner at Doomben.
The ultimate gear change has added lengths to this once-progressive colt, and I suspect the gelding will reach new heights with this preparation.
Barrier three will allow him a soft trip in transit, and if he can run out a strong 2400m, he can continue on his winning ways.
A flat second-up performance is the primary concern.

In Secret $7.50
In Secret can resume a winner.
The classy mare is a first-up specialist who simply doesn’t know how to run a bad race.
The I Am Invincible four-year-old was consistent in the spring, and her form around Imperatriz reads incredibly well for this event.
Her recent barrier trials put the writing on the wall for a fruitful campaign ahead, and I suspect she will be cherry-ripe for a fresh assault on Saturday.
I Wish I Win has again drawn awkwardly in barrier one.
The back marker is unsuited by an inside draw, and I am unsure where he will be positioned as they run for the judge.
If he can get off the dulex as they swing the final bend, he can prove too strong late.
His racing pattern and style will always require an element of good fortune.

Snow Patrol $21.00/$5.50
Snow Patrol is over the odds.
The Contributer gelding has already tasted success at Group 2 level, and he excels over 1400m.
He is undefeated fresh, and the addition of Blake Shinn could prove the winning difference.
Th carpark draw is the primary concern.
Stefi Magnetica will start favourite after rubbing shoulders with some elite gallopers.
The drop in class is advantageous; she is drawn to perfection in barrier two.
The All Too Hard filly will occupy the box seat throughout, and with even luck in-transit she will figure in the finish.
The length of her campaign could be her undoing.

$90 for 20%
We have gone for a handful of selections in both the Fred Best Classic and the Kingsford Smith Cup.
Both events look competitive and tricky on paper, and a blowout result in either race wouldn’t blow off my wig.
Autumn Angel holds the key to our quaddie hopes and dreams in the Group 1 Queensland Derby, while it’s a field job in the final event on the program.
Best of luck!
