Gatsby's $2.50

Gatsby’s could be the real deal!

The Snitzel colt was heavily supported on debut, and he ran accordingly.

The untapped two-year-old has been specked to win the slipper at a big price, and he needs to win Saturday to take his place in the Group 1 major.

He can stalk the speed from barrier three, and if the gaps appear before the final furlong, I expect him to prove too strong for his rivals late.

Hard to toss!

Duvana is ready to win.

The expensive Dundeel colt was held up at a crucial stage second-up, and he looked a good thing licked!

He will drift back from the wide gate, and if he doesn’t get too far out of his ground during the race’s middle stages, he can threaten late.

His racing pattern and style will always require an element of good fortune.

Yonce $14.00

Yonce looks great each-way value.

The Proisir mare was brilliant third-up from a spell at Caulfield, and she deserves her shot at Group 1 glory on Saturday.

She looks dangerous jumping from the perfect inside draw, and I suspect she has the fitness edge on the majority of her rivals.

The 54kg is a luxury, and the 1500m looks ideal at this stage of her preparation.

The camp are training winners for fun at present!

Zougotcha was an impressive winner first-up.

The form out of the race will hold up the entire autumn and beyond, and I suspect she has recaptured her mojo.

Her spring preparation was a nightmare, and I suspect her team are out to prove the doubters and knockers wrong.

The deserved favourite, and there has been an avalanche of money for her in early betting.

The grandstand weight is the primary concern.

Robusto $15.00/$4.20

Robusto can surprise his more fancied rivals at a price.

The Churchill gelding very rarely misses the quinella, and he arguably should have won his latest two outings.

From barrier four, he can sit midfield with cover, and if he gets even luck in transit, I expect him to loom to win inside the final furlong.

Unfortunately, he can find trouble at crucial stages of a race.

Democracy Manifest was good first-up from the clouds.

The people’s horse, who is a noted second-up performer, looks well placed in this company, and the longer trip plays into his favour.

If he can stay in touch with the peloton throughout, a succulent Chinese meal and a victory could be on the menu.

He knows his racing well!
