Yellow Jersey $2.50

Yellow Jersey is an exciting prospect.

The French import was ultra-impressive at his only Australian run, and his international form is rock-solid.

The wet conditions play into his favour, and he will eat up every inch of the 1700m.

The McEvoy yard knows how to train up-and-coming cup contenders, and his opening quote has been met with great support.

His racing pattern and style always requires an element of good fortune.

Just Folk can run a race at a double-figure quote.

The veteran ten-year-old is a model of consistency, and I suspect his next victory is just around the corner.

The inside draw puts him into winning conversations, and Blake Shinn could ride a broomstick to victory at present.

The time spent out of the winners’ circle is the biggest red flag.

Angel Capital $6.00

Angel Capital was good without threatening first-up in the Group 2 Missile Stakes.

The Harry Angel entire savaged the line late off a pedestrian tempo, and he put the writing on the wall for a second-up victory.

The step-out trip is advantageous, and his track record must be respected.

His exposed form is elite, and he rarely produces a plain effort.

His recent winning record and the ability to find trouble at a key stage are among the primary concerns.

Beiwacht can lead his rivals a merry dance.

The Bivouac entire goes faster than last week’s pay on the bunny, and I suspect this has been a long-range target from the astute camp.

He is undefeated at the distance, and his recent jump-outs were first-class.

His racing and pattern and style will suit the tight turning Heath circuit, and the early market support tells a tale.

The elevated temperature and the missed outing last weekend are the biggest deterrents.

Photograph $12.00/$4.00

Photograph is over the odds.

The Blue Point mare is always thereabouts, and she finds a winnable assignment fresh.

The current heavy conditions suit the talented girl to a tee, and the key appointment of Blake Shinn speaks volumes.

Her recent barrier trials have been first-class, and I suspect a fruitful spring is in front of her.

She tends to find one or two better at the pointy end of a contest.

Shadhavar will have plenty of supporters after producing a blistering victory fresh at the track and distance.

The Pride Of Dubai mare meets similar opposition, and I expect her to jump in the red if the flood of early money continues.

I’d prefer to support her case on top of the ground.

It’s a very even edition of the McNeil Stakes, and nothing would surprise!

Angel Capital and Beiwacht can battle it out in the Group 1 Memsie Stakes, while our best bet on the card Yellow Jersey, can get the job done in the Heatherlie Stakes.

It’s a field job at the Lucky Last.
