Eaglemont $2.40
Eaglemont looked great first up for his new stable.
His previous Victorian form reads incredibly well for this event, and he traditionally races well second-up.
The Camelot gelding should get the run of the race from barrier two, and the step out to the 1660m looks ideal at this stage of his preparation.
The Nash Rawiller factor will attract plenty of market support, and with even luck in transit, I expect the rising seven-year-old to prove too strong in the shadows.
Hype will have supporters after a slashing first-up win over 1350m.
The step out in the distance is advantageous, and he seems to have a new zest for racing under his new trainer.
The wide barrier is his biggest obstacle.

What A Weekend $4.60
What A Weekend caught the eye on debut at the Sunshine Coast.
The Better Than Ready gelding savaged the line late, and the step out to 1200m on Wednesday could prove a winning move.
The 3kg apprentice claim is advantageous, and he looks incredibly hard to beat on exposed form.
From barrier eight, he will slide back through the field, and once he peels out to the middle of the track, he will come home with one mighty finish.
First starter Grey Ice has been trialling well.
The Reliable Man filly looks poised for a first-up tilt, and I won’t be surprised if she makes her debut a winning one.
How she handles her first day at the races could determine her fate before the barriers open.
She has been well supported since markets opened.

Echo Hunter $8.00/$2.50
Echo Hunter can win here fresh.
The Denman filly has trialled well leading into this event, and the Robert Heathcote polish can never be underestimated!
The wide gate is the primary concern.
Kiko looks well-placed meeting easier opposition.
Dropping back to 1200m could be a winning move for the Capitalist filly, and she looks well placed jumping from a middle gate.
Her best form puts her in the finish, and if she can find some cover in transit, she is the one to beat.
Her winning record and skinny quote are the biggest deterrents.
Ciccone will have fans after a consistent campaign.
The Whittington filly should get the run of the race from the perfect inside draw, and she should be rock-hard fit at this stage of her preparation.
She needs to convert narrow losses into victories!
QUADDIE
Q
$54 for 100%
Lucifer’s Reward, Crazy Train, and Pocket Full, fly the flag for our quaddie in the opening leg.
It’s a competitive event. However, these three are in career-best form, and I expect them all to run well.
Lambdoma Energy and Hatchet will lock horns in the second leg.
They are track and distance specialists, and both runners have been well supported in early betting.
It’s a field job in the third leg, while the lightly-raced Crazy Brave can finish the day on a winning note for favourite punters.
Best of luck!
