Sandown April 8th, Tips and Previews

Best Bet - Sandown Race 3

1

I Am Unstoppable $2.30

I Am Unstoppable looks talented.

The I Am Invincible colt put his rivals to the sword on debut, breaking the clock in the process.

The step out to 1200m looks advantageous, and the Lloyd Kennewell camp has an excellent record of placing their horses in the right races.

He has been crunched since markets opened, and I expect the support to continue until the barrier opens.

Lady Of Savoy has produced several eye-catching barrier trials leading into this event.

The Tivaci filly looks smart, and there is a boom around for the Matthew Laurie-trained two-year-old.

If she handles her first day at the races, she can threaten.

Naiconi $6.50

Naiconi is resuming after a stunning preparation.

She went through her grades nicely, and I am excited to see her back at the track.

Her recent barrier trial was impressive, and I expect her to be fully wound up for a first-up tilt.

There has been plenty of market support in early betting for the Tony McEvoy-trained Nicconi filly, and with even luck in transit, she can win again.

The wide barrier is the primary concern.

Kazou will start favourite after a narrow win at Canterbury.

The Zoustar filly will roll forward from an inside gate, and she may prove hard to run down if she has an easy time on top of the speed.

The Chris Waller polish will attract further market support.

Whipcracker Way $15/$4.60

Whipcracker Way can run well, resuming for a new stable.

The Shamus Award gelding always performs well fresh, and his best form reads well for this event.

The 3kg apprentice claim is advantageous; his recent trials have been first-class.

Barrier fourteen is the primary concern.

Our Heidi looks dangerous from an inside draw.

The Needs Further mare won well at Moonee Valley last start, and she meets a similar field here.

It’s hard to knock a mare in form!

QUADDIE

Q

$56 for 50%

Dashing and Gringotts are our standout selections in the first leg of the quaddie.

They are racing in great spirit, and their campaigns have been sensational to date.

We are banking on a handful of selections in the second leg before we pin our quaddie hopes and dreams on the Melbourne Cup favourite White Marlin in the third leg.

It’s a field job in the lucky last!

Leg 1: 2, 4
