Pakenham March 9th, Tips and Previews

Best Bet - Pakenham Race 6

3

Kermy $4.50

Kermy looked like the winner on straightening last start.

The Kermadec gelding was only grabbed late by the talented Hughes, and he looks poised to make amends here.

He should find the bunny from barrier two, and he may prove hard to run down if he can pinch any cheap sectionals in transit.

The apprentice claim is a luxury, and he should be rock-hard fit at this stage of his preparation.

Diddley Squat will start favourite after a luckless run at Moonee Valley.

His form prior was strong, and he looks well placed back in this grade.

He should get the run of the race from barrier one.

The ultra-consistent Rumbled Again is a must for all exotics.

The Night Of Thunder mare will appreciate the drop back to 1400m.

Next Best - Pakenham Race 3

Danaustar $3.70

Danaustar battled on gamely first-up at Sandown.

His record at the distance must be respected, and he looks well placed, dropping back to Benchmark 64 level.

The 2kg apprentice claim looks advantageous, and he previously won second-up.

La Zucca produced an eye-catching run last start at Sale.

The Unencumbered mare very rarely runs a bad race, and she is knocking on the door!

Her winning strike rate is the primary concern.

Contanti can produce a peak performance third-up from a spell.

The Choisir gelding should get the ideal run from a middle gate, and I expect him to make his presence felt late.

Best Roughie - Pakenham Race 2

9

Muisca $31/$6.50

Muisca can run a big race at cricket-score odds.

She was ok at Yarra Glen last start, and she is nearing a peak run for the preparation.

Her debut run at Flemington reads well for this, and the 3kg apprentice claim could prove a winning move.

The first starter, Simeon, will start favourite after a teasing trial.

If the Pierro gelding lives up to the hype, he can start his career on a winning note.

Who Dares has the best-exposed form.

On several occasions, the Deep Field colt has been unlucky not to break his maiden status.

QUADDIE

Q

$121 for 50%

Thisismyturf and Chiaro Di Luna are our standout selections in the first leg of the quaddie.

They look well placed here, and I expect one of them to break their maiden status on Thursday night.

Our best bet, Kermy, may determine our quaddie fate in the second leg.

He was brave last start behind a potential star, and he is knocking on the door!

We have gone extremely wide in the previous two events looking for value.

Best of luck!
