Best Bet - Ascot Race 1

Kings Flirt $2.80

Kings Flirt was ultra-impressive on debut at Belmont.

The King’s Troop filly won by 6.5 lengths, and she is ideally placed to continue on her winning ways.

From a middle gate, she will have options, and I expect her to storm over the top of her rivals late.

She looks talented with plenty of upside.

Art Of Consent is the main danger from barrier four.

She has produced two teasing runs this campaign, and I expect her to peak third-up from a spell on Wednesday.

Shooting Kontiki can improve dramatically after a luckless preparation.

The inside draw is advantageous, and the Shooting To Win gelding is ready for 1200m third-up.

Pro Latte $1.75

Pro Latte hit the line nicely on debut at Pinjarra.

She has been freshened up since, and her trial leading into this event will have her cherry ripe.

William Pike will attract market support, and with even luck I expect her to record her first win.

Barrier nine is the foremost hurdle.

Slavica savaged the line at Belmont Park on debut.

She will be motoring home late if she can overcome the wide barrier draw.

The Snippetson filly has plenty of upside.

Faraway Bay looks well placed after the apprentice claim.

She is running well without winning and is a must for all wider exotics.

Best Roughie - Ascot Race 4

2

Blazing Tycoon $14.0/3.90

Blazing Tycoon finished fast at Geraldton last start.

The apprentice claim is advantageous, and he is ready for a peak run.

He is racing in great spirit despite being seven years old, and his next win is just around the corner.

He will always need luck in transit with his pattern of racing.

Celebrity Witness is ready to win.

The Star Witness mare is putting together an ultra-consistent campaign, and with even luck, I expect her to be in the finish.

King Cruzer can bounce back here after a rare last-start flop.

He always runs well at Ascot and is drawn ideally in barrier one.

QUADDIE

Q

$62 for 10%

Starchienne will make or break our quaddie in the opening leg.

The Starspangledbanner mare is one of the better bets on a very open program.

She is chasing four victories on the trot and looks well-placed to win again.

We have gone wide in the other three legs looking for some value.
