NFL Playoffs, Week 2 Tips and Previews

Jaguars vs. Chiefs

January 22nd

Super Bowl Odds: Jaguars ($31) & Chiefs ($3.75)

Last Time They Met: The Chiefs defeated the Jaguars 17-27

Are the Jags any chance against the Chiefs? Well, not according to the punters who have crunched the No. 1 seeds into $1.20 with Bet Nation.

With star QB Patrick Mahomes leading the charge, the Chiefs are ranked #1 for offense and #1 for passing. It’s also worth noting that Chiefs Head Coach, Andy Reid, is 28-5 coming off a bye, including playoff games.

The Jags advanced to the divisional playoffs with one of the all-time postseason comebacks, defeating the LA Chargers 31-30 after trailing by 27 points.

Trevor Lawrence was quickly earning a postseason reputation he didn’t want with three interceptions in the first quarter, but the Jags’ QB settled and ended up with four TDs.

SUGGESTED BET:

Same Game Multi

Giants vs. Eagles

January 22nd

Super Bowl Odds: Giants ($23) & Eagles ($6)

Last Time They Met: The Eagles defeated the Giants 16-22

Why are the Eagles $6 for the Super Bowl? Why are they sitting below the Chiefs, Bills, and 49ers?

The Eagles could be the value play for the title this year, seemingly overlooked despite their 14 regular season wins.

They watched the first week of the playoffs from the sidelines after Jalen Hurts led them to the second seeding behind the Chiefs. Ranking #2 for offense and #3 for defense, the Eagles could have a Super Bowl-winning roster on their hands.

However, they must first get past the Giants, who caused a mini upset with a 24-31 victory over the Vikings. They’ve come in from $41 to $23 following their Wild Card win but will need more magic from Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley to progress past the Eagles.

SUGGESTED BET:

Eagles to win at $1.25

Bengals vs. Bills

January 23rd

Super Bowl Odds: Bengals ($8.50) & Bills ($4.20)

Last Time They Met: The Bengals defeated the Bills 3-7

Nothing comes easy in life, and that held true for the Bengals last weekend when they needed a defensive TD in the fourth quarter to overcome the Ravens. With scores tied 17-17, Sam Hubbard blew the game wide open with a steal and a blistering run down the field.

However, they face a different beast this weekend, with the Bills second-favourite to go all the way following their 34-31 triumph over Miami. Josh Allen starred with three TDs and 352 yards, but Bills fans would have been just as buoyant about Matt Milano’s two sacks.

The Bills boast the best defense in the land, a skill that should stand up under the pressure of playoffs.

SUGGESTED BET:

Bills to win at $1.40

Cowboys vs. 49ers

January 23rd

Super Bowl Odds: Cowboys ($9.50) & 49ers ($5.50)

Last Time They Met: The Cowboys defeated the 49ers 33-41

Despite the 49ers’ $1.49 favouritism, this is the closest of all four matchups, according to the market. And it’s because Dallas absolutely torched the Buccaneers by 17 points last weekend.

Dak Prescott threw four TDs, and their defense held Tampa and Tom Brady scoreless in the opening half.

The 49ers were just as impressive, with a 41-23 demolition of the Seahawks. Brock Purdy went 6-0 as a starter, leading his side to its 11th straight victory.

SUGGESTED BET:

49ers Point Spread (-3.5) at $1.87
