Quang Tri looks awfully hard to beat here. It runs well at Flemington, and this looks like a winnable assignment.
The Patrick Payne filly is very honest and consistent, and I am sure punters will come for her on Tuesday.
Not sure how long the $2.30 will last, but she will give you a good sight for your money.
She runs well in all conditions and is clearly the one to beat.

Deauville Legend $3.50
Deauville Legend is looking to emulate Cross Counter by following a similar path, however, he won’t have the luxury of 51kg.
He heads to Flemington after an impressive last-start win at Group 2 level at York. The lightly raced 4-year-old has won over 2615m, and the 3200m doesn’t look like an issue.
The weight and the weather are the concerns. He comfortably beat Cox Plate placegetter El Bodegon last start. Kerrin McEvoy is on the right horse to win his fourth Melbourne Cup.
Realm Of Flowers is the danger. She likes the soft and heavy conditions, which are expected Tuesday.
She ran a ripper in The Metropolitan, where she was only narrowly beaten despite racing three wide throughout.
She is a previous winner at Flemington over 2800m, and she should be cherry ripe for Tuesday.
The Metropolitan was a perfect lead-up race for Tuesday; she is ideally drawn and weighted.

Decent Raine $10/$3
Decent Raine was brave on speed last start at Caulfield in a hot form race.
She should be rock hard fit after her last two runs, and the jump to 1400m looks perfect third up from a spell.
She is drawn perfectly in barrier 6 giving John Allen plenty of options.
Strong race, but I think she is over the odds.
