Racing June 18th, Tips and Previews

Best Bet - Ipswich Race 8

3

Holyfield $6/$2.25

Holyfield pings his way to the front here.

Wide barrier means Brodie Loy is just going to have go for broke and this horse is better ridden that way.

He is now riding high on the wave of two good runs from return to racing and Annabel Neasham is a freak at getting her horses ready for grand final races.

Next Best - Flemington Race 8

7

Visinari $3

A white, ghostly grey horse in the wet.

It is not just that which Visinari has going for him, but his form just continues to spike every time he steps out to the race course.

His only defeat this campaign was an unlucky second when he was forced to a stack of work from a wide barrier.

Jordan Childs slides to an on-pace position and goes whooshka down the Flemington home straight.

Best Roughie - Flemington Race 4

4

Bea Tempted $51/$9.50

The Patrick Payne stable is going to well to any horse of his go around at $51.

Carleen Hefel gets this seven-year-old mare down to carrying a mere 52kgs.

Will be looking for galloping room late in the race from the inside gate.

Bit of luck and she might in the finish at enormous odds.

QUADDIE

Q

$144 for 50%

Ipswich is a quirky track which usually favours itself to those horses racing on the speed.

Looking for horses who will ping from an outside gate – see Holyfield – and horses who can camp themselves a pair or two back on the rail.
