Brighton & Hove Albion vs. Arsenal
October 3rd
Four wins in a row might not have looked possible for Arsenal, but that is the prize on offer for the Gunners when they head to Falmer Stadium to face Brighton & Hove Albion this weekend.
Mikel Arteta’s men were simply stunning in their 3-1 derby win over cross-town rival Tottenham Hotspur and can surge into the top half of the table with victory here.
However, Brighton will prove a tough nut to crack with Graham Potter guiding his men to their best ever Premier League start under his tenure to sit in sixth place on the table.
Arsenal has tended to play keepings off its opponent and utilise a ‘play-out-from-the-back’ passing style to slice up its opponents this in the last month to great effect.
But the wild weather predicted for this game might just stifle those type of tactics and allow the big Brighton bodies to cause havoc.
It is tough to pick a result in this game, but the under 2.5 total goals margin looks a great bet.
SUGGESTED BET:
Total goals scored under 2.5 at $1.85
Tottenham vs. Aston Villa
October 4th
The embarrassment of a derby defeat to Arsenal will surely be enough to spur on Tottenham Hotspur when it attempts to bounce back into form at home against Aston Villa.
Spurs were brutally picked apart in their 3-1 loss to the Gunners, while Aston Villa produced one of the upsets of the season defeating Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford.
After winning Premier League manager of the month, Spurs coach Nuno Espirito Santos has had a wretched three weeks with big losses to not only Arsenal, but the Patrick Viera coached Crystal Palace as well as Chelsea.
Villa may be in good form, but it’s hard to be against Tottenham at home with such a talented attacking line.
Harry Kane and Son Heung-min should be able to find their mojo in front of the white army and prove their worth in this game.
SUGGESTED BET:
Tottenham head to head at $1.75
Liverpool vs. Manchester City
October 4th
Another chapter in the the Premier League title chase will be written when Liverpool and Manchester City go head to head at Anfield.
With the hunt for top spot up for grabs, a mouthwatering clash in the Pep Guardiola versus Jurgen Klopp era takes centre stage again.
Liverpool had a very comfortable time of it midweek with a 5-1 win over FC Porto in the Champions League allowing Klopp’s men to put the feet up.
City, meanwhile, copped the full brunt of Lionel Messi and PSG going down 2-0 on Wednesday morning.
The Citizens domestic form has been solid enough to suggest they can win this game with a 1-0 win over Chelsea in their most recent outing.
In a game that is tough to spit, the draw does look the value.
