Frostick is ready to break his maiden status.
He got too far back on his debut and then found the going on a borderline heavy track at Moe a shade too difficult when stepping to 1200 metres.
Back to 1000 metres taking the sit in the behind the leaders likes ideal for him as jockey Beau Mertens can cuddle him up and then unleash his turn of foot in the straight.
Racing at his home track in an advantage given he knows the surroundings and his on-pace racing style should serve him well here.

Saskatoon $2.9
Saskatoon jumped out very nicely at Flemington and has been dominated for some competitive maidens, but continually drew wide gates.
He finally jumps from a soft barrier that should see him settle in the lead or take a sit in behind the leaders.
Looks a real miler type of horse despite his sire being smart sprinter Star Turn and he does look to possess nice early speed from the gates.
Dean Holland takes the ride and this look his best chance on the card to find a winner.

The Crusha $21/$5.5
The Crusha has had circumstances against him in his three runs this campaign.
The Mark Webb-trained sprinter over did it in the lead at Geelong over 1100 metres, copped a heavy track second-up over 1200 metres and then was simply outclassed in town last start when going around a $101 shot.
He drops in grade to BM-64 level and did start single figures the last time he went around in this grade.
Back onto a drying Cranbourne track will suit him perfectly and the barrier should see him settle on the pace with cover.

Will take the favourite Pepper’s Ghost one out in the second leg who we would have made our best bet if not for our other two selections.
