Premier League Match Week 5, Tips and Previews

Burnley vs. Arsenal

September 18th

Arsenal will endeavour to record back-to-back wins in the Premier League when they travel to Turf Moor to take on Burnley on Saturday afternoon.

Mikel Arteta’s side scraped a 1-0 victory over Norwich City in gameweek four, whereas Burnley’s winless start continued with a 3-1 defeat at Everton

Sean Dyche’s Burnley became the next victims of an Andros Townsend thunderbolt at Goodison Park on Monday night, but for a short while, the Clarets seemed set for a joyous evening on Merseyside after Ben Mee’s header broke the deadlock in the 53rd minute.

That loss might just about crush the Clarets’ confidence, whereas Arsenal got the proverbial monkey off the back and look value at the even money with Thomas Partey likely to make a start.

SUGGESTED BET:

Arsenal head to head at $2

Liverpool vs. Crystal Palace

September 19

Fresh from an enthralling 3-2 success over AC Milan in the Champions League, Liverpool return to Premier League action with Saturday’s visit of Crystal Palace at Anfield.

Meanwhile, the Eagles travel to Merseyside aiming to keep the momentum going from their hugely impressive 3-0 triumph over Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.

Jurgen Klopp’s Anfield struggles were well-documented during their torrid spell last term, but victory over Milan stretched their unbeaten streak at home to nine games in all tournaments and they have amassed a 14-game run without defeat in the Premier League – winning five of their last six with five clean sheets to boot.

After enjoying remarkable success against Tottenham Hotspur as a player, new Palace boss Patrick Vieira could hardly have dreamed of a better day at the office last weekend and he takes that momentum into this game against a genuine title contender.

No value at the head to head, but Palace showed great defensive fortitude last week and we predict this game be under 2.5 goals.

SUGGESTED BET:

Total goals under 2.5 at $2.45

Tottenham vs. Chelsea

September 20

Tottenham’s perfect start to the Premier League this season came to an end in dramatic fashion last weekend as it was beaten 3-0 by local rivals Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park and now it must regather itself against European champion Chelsea.

The Blues stitched up a comfortable 3-0 win over Aston Villa last weekend and remain undefeated this season and this was backed up by a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Zenit in the Champions League.

Thomas Tuchel has very little injury problems to worry about heading into this one which makes us warm to Cheslea even more.

Star holding midfielder N’Golo Kante is likely to be available for selection, although winger Christian Pulisic will miss with a lower ankle problem.

Chelsea in a canter.

SUGGESTED BET:

Chelsea head to head at $1.90
