Teleporter $3.4

Teleporter has been time under Michael, John & Wayne Hawkes to mature into a proper racehorse after failing on debut as a three-year-old colt.

He started a $2.25 well backed favourite in a Canterbury maiden but was beaten out of sight on a heavy eight track.

Since then, he has put together a set of nice jumpouts at Flemington to suggest he has come back a much better horse than we saw last preparation.

Fred Kersley is partnered up with the galloper who has since been gelded in order to get his mind on the job.

Barrier five should pose no issues and he can defeat the current favourite in the market if Kersley takes the initiative early.

Full Knots Ahead $3.2

Full Knots makes the trip across Bass Straight to acquaint herself with the synthetic surface of Ballarat.

The Sigrid Carr-trained mare has won her last two races with the first of those being on the Devonport synthetic track.

She is clearly adept to racing on these surfaces given she has done a good job under similar conditions in Tasmania.

Carr is not sending this horse up north for the a holiday.

She is here to win and gets the services of strong jockey Jason Maskiell to guide her home.

Best Roughie - Race 1

Eyestryke $16/$2.90

Eyestryke has done absolutely zilch at his five career runs to date, but he has had excuses and might improve out of sight here.

Most of, if not all, his starts have been on rain effected going which he clearly has taken a liking to given how far he has been beaten.

The four-year-old gelding from the Jamie Edwards stable now gets his chance to put in a showing by taking his ability to the synthetic surface.

Prior to resuming in his second preparation, he won a 1000-metre jumpout on the synthetic surface of Geelong.

It might just be the track he needs to show his best.

QUADDIE

Q

$72 for 100%

We are going to go fairly skinny on all four legs as those favoured in the markets throughout probably deserve their odds at the moment.

It means we do not have to outlay as much to get a decent return when we hit the quaddie.

Leg 1: 1, 3, 8
Leg 2: 4, 5, 6
Leg 3: 2, 5, 6, 8
Leg 4: 2, 4

Outlay: $72
Flexi Percentage = 100%
