Excited to see Campobasso gain a rain after a host of scratchings has seen him qualify for this field.
He is racing in great form since being acquired by Brett Campbell with his last two runs being his best efforts since transferring over to South Australia.
He posted a win at Bordertown in BM-62 grade over 2000 metres on a heavy track then backed up that effort with a third-place finish in BM-72 grade over 1950 metres a fortnight ago.
Looks to get all the favours up on the pace in this event and this race is his for the keeping if Dylan Caboche can control the sectionals out in front.

Henry Dwyer must see something in Star of Manhattan to keep her up for another run this preparation.
The three-year-old sprinting filly has a solid formguide for a race of this calibre despite her last two runs reading ‘9’ and ‘7.’
Her most recent start was a 1200-metre event won by Hickok at Sandown.
She has since been freshened after that run and appears here having spent a month away from racing.
The freshness in her legs should her be able to sprint sharply from midfield and hopefully prove too good for this lot.

Constanzia has put together two solid runs since being sent to South Australia under the tutelage over Michael Hickmott.
She was very unlucky last start when racing in very cramped room for the entire straight and only seeing light until well after the finish post where she had almost reeled in the winner.
The five-year-old mare carried 61.5kgs that day in BM-60 and now rises in grade in order to help combat the weight impost.
She will only have to carry around 53kgs with Sophie Logan claiming as an apprentice.
Barrier five will suit this horse much better than that horrible inside barrier last start.
