Five Star is ready to get back into his best form after running a respectable fourth behind Whatever I Say as a $2.60 favourite in the Fireball heats.
He was returning from a trek up to Queensland and that might have just seen race a bit jaded last weekend but he still did a good job to keep fighting on late in the race over 725 metres.
The Paul Abela-trained stayer will jump in the black rug and he has had success from box seven already with three starts registering two wins and a minor placing.
Expect a big showing from him in this race. The one to beat.
The Meadows Next Best - Race 8

Qwara Bale $3
Qwara Bale is a freak in every sense of the word.
A star chaser for Andrea Dailly who just continues to go from strength to strength after a slashing 30.19 win in her Maturity Classic Final heat race last week.
She careered away by over four lengths to Keep It Black as a $1.80 favourite and if she gets a clean run through it will be win number 18 at start number 31.
Most notably, Zipping Rambo has a much shorter starting price profile from when the two last met on the track.
The Meadows Best Roughie - Race 5

La La Missouri $19/$3.90
La La Missouri races immediately after his Wednesday effort earlier this week.
He found trouble from box six when stepping up to 525 metres for the first time in over two months but still chased hard to finish only six lengths off the winner.
Three-day back-up suggests he is peaking physically, and he draws box two which should hopefully see him track Carry On Angel into the race or even potentially cross him.
Massive shout at each-way odds if he gets the breaks and clear running.
