Grizzlies v Jazz
May 30th
Utah’s destiny takes them beyond this series and it’s a formality for mine. They are clearly the better team in this series and Rudy Gobert is leading this team to the next round.
Memphis are battling well but they aren’t at the level of Utah. Ja Morant needs to catch fire and catch it quickly if he is to give the Grizzlies any chance of getting through this series.
The Jazz have shown this postseason that they are a ready-made playoff team and that they will take some serious beating if they are to be eliminated.
Happy to be with them for the rest of this series.

Lakers v Suns
May 30th
Lakers have shown their ability in the last couple of games and they look to be marching on to the next round. Phoenix are doing well but the Lakers at this time of year are a different beasts.
Lebron has shown since the play-in tournament he is ready to take this team to another ring. And the road to that ring goes through Phoenix and he won’t want to spend any more time than needed on this series.
Devin Booker has shown his true ability this series but he has been unable to rely on the support needed to keep the Lakers on their toes in the last two games. On the other hand if Lebron fails to fire he has Anthony Davis to pick up the slack.
The Lakers are on their way out of this series and this is the defining game of the series. They win this they are as good as in the second round of the playoffs.

Mavericks v Clippers
May 31st
The Clipper were good in game three and got themselves back into the series. It may be the tonic they need to press forward and take this series out.
Dallas will be keen to bounce back and get back to the basketball that saw them take out the first two games. Doncic needs to lift his side back here.
Kawhi and Paul George were huge in game three with 36 and 29 points respectively. That’s the level they need to be at to get the Clippers through to the next round.
If the Clippers level the series it could be a cruel body blow for the Mavs and could swing the series momentum. I still have faith in Dallas to bounce back and get the series back on their terms and I’m backing Doncic to lead the way.

Wizards v 76ers
May 31st
The 76ers are cruising through to the second round and this will be just another step on the way to the second round. Washington haven’t disgraced themselves but they are clearly not of the level of Philly.
Simmons showed up in game 2 on the offensive end putting up 22 points and 8 assists to go with Joel Embid’s 22 points. While that duo combined for only one more point than Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal the split was stark.
Beal had 33 points in game 2 while Westbrook managed only 10. He did drop 11 dimes but they need more to help them beat the 76ers.
The Wizards just don’t look like they’re going to be able to stop the 76ers in this series and I’m sensing a sweep is on the cards.
