Broncos v Storm
MAY 27th
Not going to look past the Storm here. It would be silly too.
Brisbane offers very little from a betting perspective meaning value in this contest is hard to find. Josh Addo-Carr has been in sensational form and could cash-in against a leaky defence here.
The Storm will handle this game in a professional manner that may not see them blast away the Broncos but they will win comfortably.
SUGGESTED BET:
STORM -13.5 @ $1.9
- Suggested Same Game Multi:
- Leg 1: Josh Addo Carr First Try Scorer
- Leg 2: Cameron Munster Anytime Try Scorer
- Leg 3: Storm -13.5
- Combined odds = $5
Cowboys v Warriors
May 28th
Not sure how the Cowboys find themselves at such a juicy price here. They have been in very good form lately having won six of their last seven games.
Add in the fact the game is in Townsville and the Cowboys should be shorter in the market in my opinion.
The Warriors were good last weekend but that is almost as much a curse as anything. It is very hard to trust the Warriors with your money and I can’t back them in to win two games in a row.
SUGGESTED BET:
Cowboys win @ $2.34
Tigers v Dragons
May 28th
Both teams will be desperate for a win here after a pair of disappointing losses last weekend. The Tigers need to bounce back here if they’re to be a serious finals contender.
Wests recently beat the Dragons and it’d be fair to imagine that win would give them some confidence.
It is hard to see how the Dragons will overturn that defeat in such a short period of time. If last week was any guide this may be another hard week.
SUGGESTED BET:
Tigers Win @ $1.53
Panthers v Bulldogs
May 29th
Penrith are unbeaten and that ain’t changing here. The Bulldogs aren’t touching the Panthers.
Nathan Cleary could dictate this game in his sleep. The Bulldogs have failed to score against the Panthers at all in their last two meetings and that won’t change this time.
The market is heavily skewed in one direction so we must simply head to a same-game multi.
SUGGESTED BET:
Panthers -18.5 @ $1.87
- Suggested Same Game Multi:
- Leg 1: Panthers -18.5
- Leg 2: Charlie Staines Any Time Try Scorer
- Leg 3: Stephen Crichton Any Time Try Scorer
- Combined odds = $5
Rabbitohs v Eels
May 29th
Souths were soundly beaten by Penrith last weekend but that doesn’t hurt too much. Penrith are pretty good at rugby league. The Eels were disappointingly smashed by Manly.
The Eels lost some respect across the league after that poor performance and will be keen to atone for it. They have been really good at certain points this season but have struggled to keep that form around for too long.
The Bunnies would be able to take some confidence out of that game despite the loss to the Panthers. I didn’t mind what I saw in that game and think that’ll be more than enough to win here.
SUGGESTED BET:
South Sydney Win @ $1.64
Roosters v Raiders
May 30th
The Roosters suffered an embarrassing loss last week and now they need to bounce back. Their season is going to slip away if they aren’t careful.
The Raiders loom as another danger game for the Roosters. If the Bondi club loses this it will be anarchy.
But they have earned some trust and with the stars they still have available it’s hard to imagine they could let themselves down again.
SUGGESTED BET:
Roosters in 1-13 @ $2.40
- Suggested Same Game Multi:
- Leg 1: James Tedesco Any Time Try Scorer
- Leg 2: Total points scored under 30.5
- Leg 3: Rooster Win 1-13
- Combined odds = $7
Sharks v Titans
May 30th
Two teams that haven’t had the season they were imagining meet with both likely seeing this as a brilliant chance to secure a win.
The Sharks will celebrate game 200 for half-back Shaun Johnson which will surely give them some added motivation.
Both teams have struggled defensively big time. I can’t see either side winning this off the back of a solid defensive display. It looks much more likely to be a try-scoring feast with both sides backing their offence.
SUGGESTED BET:
Total Points over 45.5
Knights v Sea Eagles
May 30th
Manly will be looking to reaffirm their top eight hopes with a win here. They are in great form and should be too good again here.
Newcastle’s last fortnight has left little to be confident in as they’ve been on the end of some large defeats. It’s hard to see them turning that around here.
The two teams couldn’t be further apart in terms of form. And I won’t be betting on this week to be the week it turns around.
