Hawks v Wildcats
June 1st
These two sides are both well on their way to playoffs, but make no mistake this game is important. This contest is an essential one for playoff momentum.
The Hawks have found some good form winning four straight, while the Wildcats are also scorching hot with five wins from their past six games.
Perth have had the edge on the Hawks in recent years which will give them a boost of confidence heading into this game. The Wildcats have won seven straight over the Hawks dating back to 2019.
There isn’t much separating these two sides, but the mental edge the Wildcats will be taking in given their recent dominance of the Hawks makes me think they’ll get the job done again.
SUGGESTED BET:
Perth Win @ $1.72
Wildcats v United
June 4th
This is a massive top of the table clash. A win for the Wildcats would see them leapfrog United for the top spot on the ladder, while a Melbourne win would see them clinch the title.
Both teams are desperate for home court advantage in the postseason.
It’s hard to look past either side but I’m a huge fan of what Melbourne are doing and they have been the best team in the league all season. I don’t see them giving that up at the business end of the season.
The Wildcats lost to United on their home-court just under a month ago, but they did win back-to-back fixtures against Melbourne on the road earlier in the year.
The Wildcats last three games have been alarmingly good, they have been winning by big margins against the Taipans, 36ers and Kings.
United have earned the favourites tag in this one but I like the value of Perth. They are a high-quality side who know how to get the job done
SUGGESTED BET:
United Win @ $1.64
Breakers v Phoenix
June 5th
The Phoenix are shooting for a clean sweep over the Breakers on Saturday as they simultaneously look to secure their spot in the top four.
I love the fact the Phoenix have something like a playoff spot to play for in a game like this. They will have an enormous drive to win.
South East Melbourne has finished the season strongly with four wins from its last five games, while they’ll also be eager to pull last week’s disappointing loss to the Taipans behind them.
They would hate to look back on that game and feel it was the beginning of the end of their season so I expect them to bounce back and make a statement. South East Melbourne are 10-7 on the road which is a record that gives me a lot of confidence in their ability to perform here.
A trip to Auckland is never easy, but the Phoenix look a good thing.
SUGGESTED BET:
South East Melbourne Win @ $1.6
Kings v Bullets
June 5th
The Kings have been up and down this season, they haven’t been able to put together a consistent enough run though to secure themselves a spot in the postseason.
The exact same could be said for the Bullets though. Both teams have been in pretty good form to end the season though but it’s all been too little too late.
The Kings have had a good enough record at home to give me something to help split these two teams. Brisbane’s road record isn’t poor but at 50% it doesn’t fill me with any confidence.
Happier to be with the team closer to the playoff brackets.
