Rabbitohs vs Panthers
MAY 23RD 2:00PM
It is the battle of the premiership contenders with the top of the table Panthers tackling the fourth placed Rabbitohs.
It will be the first ever Premiership NRL game to be played at APEX Oval in Dubbo. The ladder leaders Panthers have been unstoppable all season and will look to extend their 10-game winning streak against a Rabbitohs side keen to show the competition their premiership credentials over the undefeated ladder leaders.
The Rabbitohs will be boosted by the return of superstar fullback Latrell Mitchell as well as Josh Mansour and Campbell Graham.
It will probably be the Panthers hardest challenge of the season facing the Rabbitohs who are aiming to consolidate their position inside the top four.
The Rabbitohs have the talent to pull it off, but the Panthers have proved all season that they are a well drilled team, have a defence which has become the best in the league and shown they are the premiership favourites.
The Panthers have conceded 72 points through the opening 10 rounds, which is 70 points less than the next best the Parramatta Eels.
Having won their last three encounters by a combined 13 points including last year’s preliminary final where they recorded an enthralling 20-16 victory, all roads lead to a Panthers win.
The Panthers have only conceded a measly 7.2 points per game and were on fire offensively in their last two matches scoring 48 points each in blowouts over the Titans and Sharks. Although the Rabbitohs have the talent, it will take something special for them to hand the hottest form team in the league the Panthers their first loss of the season.
SUGGESTED BET:
Penrith Panthers -10.5 at $1.80
- Suggested Same Game Multi:
- Leg 1: Penrith Panthers -10.5
- Leg 2: Josh Mansour anytime try scorer
- Leg 3: Total points scored under 48.5
- Combined odds = $5
Parramatta Eels vs Sea Eagles
May 23RD 2:00PM
The Parramatta Eels host the resurgent Manly Sea Eagles at Bankwest Stadium and have a flawless record at home in 2021 and are on a five-game winning streak.
The second-placed Eels will head into the match as favourites, but not by much expect their defence to be the difference maker in deciding the result of the match as they are ranked third in defence.
Over the last few weeks, the Sea Eagles have remarkably turned around their season and have recharged their squad and look like a potent force since the return of electrifying fullback Tom Trbojevic in round six.
Since Trbojevic’s return from injury the Sea Eagles have gone from a team that was lingering at the bottom to a team that is vying to contend in the finals.
The Sea Eagles were red hot last week thumping the Brisbane Broncos 50-6 thanks to running in eight tries.
Yes, their win was soured by losing five-eighth Kieran Foran in the opening minutes of the clash and Foran will not take part along with back-up Cade Cust in the contest this week over the Eels, so Josh Schuster shifts to the halves. Trbojevic and exciting winger Jason Saab were an exciting and vibrating partnership combining with four tries and three try assists.
Both teams are in-form, and this match will be entertaining and wrap-up Round 11 perfectly.
This will be one of the toughest challenges Manly will tackle of 2021, but a challenge they are definitely up to.
SUGGESTED BET:
Manly Sea Eagles +9.5 points at $2.30
- Suggested Same Game Multi:
- Leg 1: Manly Sea Eagles +9.5 points
- Leg 2: Total points scored under 47.5
- Leg 3: Trbojevic anytime try scorer
- Combined odds = $5
