Treasurethe Moment $5.00

Treasurethe Moment was good without winning first-up in the Group 1 Futurity Stakes at Caulfield.

The consistent four-year-old looked the winner as they cut the ribbons, and she was only nabbed late, right on the wire.

I suspect she was a run short of a gallop, and I expect her to stalk the speed on Saturday instead of taking up the role as pilot.

She strips fitter as a result of her fresh performance, and the addition of the inform Ben Melham puts her into all winning conversations.

She is suited under the weight scale, and her second-up record is near-perfect.

A serving of redemption is on the menu!

Tom Kitten $5.50

Last year’s winner, Tom Kitten, can defend his title with even luck in transit.

The Harry Angel gelding returned to form first-up in the Group 3 Heffernan Stakes at Caulfield, and I am confident this event has been a long-range target from the astute camp.

He traditionally performs well at this stage of his campaign, and a recent jump-out caught the eyes of punters.

The mile is arguably his ideal sweet spot, and Craig Williams has an impressive winning association with the big boy.

He may need to take his medicine or roll the dice from the awkward gate.

Sabaj $23.00

Sabaj was a revelation during the spring!

The Manhattan Rain gelding was a brilliant winner of the Cranbourne Cup, and his victory on Champions Day in the snow was first-class.

I suspect the mile is his best distance, and a win here would announce the talented four-year-old on the big stage.

His yard is training winners for fun at present, and I am confident this event has been on the radar for some time.

His racing pattern and style, and the significant class rise, are among the primary concerns.

$81 for 50%

Treasurethe Moment is our main selection, however; Tom Kitten and Sabaj both gain a gurnsey for insurance purposes.

Buckaroo, Pride Of Jenni, Stefi Magnetica, and Leica Lucy, can all run a drum, while nothing would surprise for the minor end of the prize.

Best of luck!
