Caulfield February 7th, Tips and Previews

Best Bet - Caulfield Race 3

3

Guest House $1.95

Guest House looks untapped.

The Home Affairs colt was a brilliant winner on debut, and he looks well placed in this company.

A recent barrier trial set tongues wagging, and his opening quote has been met with great support.

The Jamie Melham factor must be respected, and a dominant victory here would see her jump the Blue Diamond favourite.

Hard to toss!

Eternal Warrior picks himself on exposed form.

The Extreme Warrior colt oozes class, and he deserves his shot in this line-up.

A recent jump-out was rock-solid, and he has been heavily backed in most all-in markets.

The carpark draw is the primary concern.

Next Best - Caulfield Race 4

2

Moana Spirit $5.00

The undefeated Moana Spirit is ultra-progressive.

The Tagaloa Filly has shown a clean pair of heels on both outings, and she comes to Melbourne up and about.

Her winning times and margins must be respected, and she maps to get the perfect run in-transit on Saturday.

The camp are training winners for fun at present, and I suspect she is held in high regard by the astute horseman.

Acid test!

Jacaranda will have plenty of supporters after producing a romp on debut at Seymour.

The Home Affairs filly possesses a significant turn of foot, and her sizzling late sectionals have the ability to break hearts and on-course clocks.

The significant class rise is a concern, however; she looks classy.

Dismiss at your own peril!

Best Roughie - Caulfield Race 5

8

Crocodile $11.00/$3.50

Crocodile is an intriguing runner for the Hayes camp.

The talented three-year-old brings winning form to the table, and I suspect his best performance here would put him into finish.

Barrier one is advantageous, and his record at the distance must be respected.

His double-figure quote has been nibbled at, and he doesn’t look out of place in the quality line-up.

Over the odds!

The VRC Derby winner Observer resumes with an air of expectation.

The freakish colt took the spring by storm, and he is one to follow during the autumn and beyond.

His recent barrier trials have been ok without writing home about, and I am unsure the shorter trip at Caulfield is his jam.

Big respect, however; I would prefer to support his case over further and deeper into his campaign.
