Via Sistina $1.70

Via Sistina joined some of our all-time greats with a dramatic and stunning victory in the W.S Cox plate.

The champion eight-year-old mare got off the canvas several times inside the final furlong, and it was a fitting way for Moonee Valley to bow out before a complete track and complex renovation.

The Fastnet Rock mare strips fitter, and she tends to get better the longer the preparation goes.

Her record at the distance is sensational, and she always performs well at headquarters.

The weight-for-age queen will defend her title here before potentially heading off to the paddock to become a mum.

Attrition is racing well at present.

His performance behind Lindermann two starts back was a beauty, and he was brave without threatening behind Via Sistina at his latest.

The Churchill entire should be rock-hard fit after a lengthy campaign, and I suspect he can run a drum if it turns into a true staying test.

A must for all wider multiples and exotics.

Treasurethe Moment $6.00

Treasurethe Moment was ultra-impressive in the W.S. Cox Plate at her latest outing.

It was a pleasing return to form, and she looked the winner as heads turned for home.

The predicated wet conditions suit, and the drop back to the mile is advantageous.

Her record at Flemington is perfect, and I suspect she will get a soft trip in-transit from a perfect inside draw.

Take on trust!

Mr Brightside is a marvel.

The big boy doesn’t know how to run a bad race, and he won a stunning edition of this race last year.

His was game in defeat last start in the King Charles Iii at Randwick, and he get his ideal setup and conditions here.

Too consistent to dismiss.

Just Like Gaby $14.00/$3.60

Just Like Gaby is over the odds.

The Pierata mare is racing better than it suggests in the bible, and she finds a very winnable assignment on Saturday.

Her third-up record must be respected, and the 1100m looks ideal at this stage of her preparation.

She maps extremely well in this event, and I suspect she will look the winner as they fly past the clocktower.

Stoli Bolli will start a short-priced favourite.

The Deep Field gelding is knocking on the door, and he looks well placed in this company.

The James McDonald factor will attract further market support, and the Hayes camp are training winners for fun at present.

With even luck in-transit he will figure in the finish, and a victory here would be a great reward for effort.

He tends to find one or two better at the pointy end of a contest.

$96 for 100%

Tentyris has one hoof on the till in the Group 1 Champions Sprint.

The Coolmore Stud Stakes winner is flying, and he looks the real deal!

Treasurethe Moment is poised to strike in the Champions Mile, while several gallopers gain gurnseys for insurance purposes.

The dual W.S. Cox Plate winner Via Sistina has the Champions Stakes at her mercy, and I suspect it may be her farewell to racing.

It’s a field job in the lucky last.
