Best Bet - Randwick Race 7

Ka Ying Rising $1.80

Ka Ying Rising is a superstar!

The world’s highest-rated sprinter wins for fun, and the speed machine is a 1200m specialist.

The good track is advantageous, and I suspect daylight is a chance of running second.

The pride of Hong Kong is in career best form, and I expect his best performance here will simply prove too strong for the local contingency.

His versatility is exceptional, and he is perfectly draw in a middle gate.

Hard to toss!

Joliestar was breathtakingly fresh over 1100m at Randwick.

She traditionally peaks after a little freshening up, and her victory over Briasa must be respected.

The reliable five-year-old has a huge engine under the bonnet, and she has the ability to record sizzling late sectionals.

The multiple Group 1 winner loves the six-furlong trip, and the James McDonald factor will attract late market support.

If she can stay in touch with the peloton throughout, she can make her presence felt in the shadows.

The logical danger to the favourite.

Fangirl $4.00

Fangirl took out the $1,000,000 7 Stakes on the wire at her latest outing.

The form out of the race has stood up since, and I suspect she is ready to peak on Saturday.

Her record at the track and distance must be respected, and I am confident this is the main target for her current spring campaign.

The consistent seven-year-old will appreciate the predicted firm surface, and her winning association with James McDonald could prove decisive.

If she doesn’t give her opponents too big of a head start as they turn for home, I expect her to prove too strong late.

Mr Brightside is a marvel. The Bullbars gelding took out a pedestrian edition of the Group 1 Makybediva Stakes at Flemington at his latest outing, and I suspect he is ready to peak third-up from a spell on Saturday.

The rising nine-year-old was brave behind Treasurethe Moment in the Group 1 Memsie Stakes fresh, and the old boy is simply honest as the day is long.

I expect him to figure in the finish if he can find a spot in the running line from the awkward barrier.

Leading the field up to the tearaway leader might be is undoing.

Best Roughie - Randwick Race 6

Disneck $12.00/$3.00

Disneck is over the odds.

The Trapeze Artist gelding was an impressive last start winner at the track and distance, and he deserves his shot at this level on Saturday.

The consistent five-year-old is progressive, and I suspect he has the fitness edge on the majority of his rivals.

The camp are training winners for fun at present, and he has been well supported since fields were finalised.

The inside draw is advantageous, and if he sees clear air as they come up over the famous Randwick rise, he will figure in the finish.

Will be thereabouts with even luck in-running.

Generosity will start race favourite after producing two honest performances this preparation.

The form around Joliestar and Briasa reads incredibly well for this event, and the luxurious 56.5kg puts her into all winning calculations.

The James McDonald and Chris Waller combination must be respected, and she has been heavily supported in most all-in markets.

The awkward gate is the primary concern.

QUADDIE

Q

$128 for 50%

If the real Ka Ying Rising turns up on Saturday, he has the world’s richest turf race at his mercy.

He will make or break or quaddie in the opening leg, however; he is too classy and slick not to promote.

We have gone extremely wide in a competitve edition of the Silver Eagle, while Mr Brightside and Fangirl will battle it out during the final furlong of the King Charles Iii Stakes.

The final event on the program is wider open than a tin of tuna.

Best of luck!
