Prognosis $3.30

Prognosis is world-class.

The Deep Impact seven-year-old possesses a devastating turn of foot, and his best form reads extremely well for this event.

His fresh run was good against the tempo, and he is a specialist at the trip.

From barrier five, he can drift back and find his hooves, and if he doesn’t get too far out of his ground during the middle stages of the race, I expect him to figure in the finish.

His tendency to flop out the barriers is the primary concern.

Pride Of Jenni will go faster than last week’s pay.

The Pride Of Dubai mare will be a minute in front, and the rest of the field will look to be in a race of their own.

If the tearaway leader is left to her own devices throughout, this could be a famous victory.

I am concerned the extra outing at 1600m could come against her in the shadows.

I Am Unstoppable $4.80

I Am Unstoppable will have supporters after an eye-catching return to racing.

The talented son of I Am Invincible recorded sizzling late sectionals, and I suspect he strips fitter after his fresh performance.

The step out to 1200m is advantageous, and the Mark Zahra and Ciaron Maher combination must be respected.

From barrier nine, the big boy can slide back and watch the race unfold, and if he is within reach as they swing for home, I expect him to figure in the finish.

Mornington Glory has had a near-perfect campaign.

The Shalaa gelding tasted Group 1 glory two starts back in the Moir, and his form prior was outstanding at a lower level.

He looked luckless at his latest outing, and the flood of early money indicates another bold performance.

The length of his current campaign is the biggest deterrent.

Wishlor Lass $12.00/$3.50

Wishlor Lass is over the odds.

The Mshawish mare produced an ominous performance fresh, and she was good without threatening at the top level second-up.

The significant drop grade is advantageous, and the consistent six-year-old is undefeated third-up from a spell.

I expect her to occupy the box seat throughout, and if the gaps appear as they run for the judge, she may cause a boilover.

Firestorm will start a short-priced favourite after producing a near-faultless campaign to date.

The Satono Aladdin mare started her preparation with back-to-back victories, and she was game in defeat behind the best miler in the country in the Group 1 Epsom Handicap.

The step out in trip plays into her favour, and she meets easier opposition.

How she handles the tight turning circuit may decide her fate.

$120 for 50%

Oscar’s Fortune, Mornington Glory, I Am Unstoppable, and Baraqiel will fight it out in a brilliant edition of the Mcewen Stakes.

Plenty Of Ammo looks hard to toss in the Crystal Mile, while we have a handful of selections as insurance in the feature event of the day, the W.S. Cox Plate.

Nothing would surprise in the Tesio Stakes.

Best of luck!
