The Star Turn gelding looks primed for this prestigious event, and I suspect this race has been a long-range target.
He hasn’t put a foot wrong this campaign and deserves his shot at glory.
He has plenty of upside and looks perfectly weighted and drawn to have a serious tilt on Saturday.
The class rise is the primary concern.
Opal Ridge will have supporters.
The Rubick mare is undefeated fresh, and her best form reads exceptionally well.
She meets easier opposition, and the 1200m is in her wheelhouse.
The one to beat, however, she looks skinny enough in the market.
