UCL Futures – Tips and Previews

Manchester City

$3.00

It’s been a hot start for the reigning champions in both the Premier League and the Champions League, culminating in short-priced favouritism for back-to-back championships at $3.50.

After taking out last year’s event with victory over Inter Milan in the final, Pep Guardiola’s men opened this season’s account with a 3-1 win against FK Crvena Zvezda thanks to a Julian Alvarez double.

They’ve been similarly dominant in the EPL with six wins from their first seven games, and it will surprise nobody that Erling Haaland has been the main destroyer with eight goals. The Norwegian superstar slotted a combined 48 goals from his 2022/23 EPL/UCL endeavours and looks every bit as dangerous in his second season at the club.

With RB Leipzig, Red Star Belgrade and Young Boys in Group G, expect the holders to shorten as they progress.

Bayern Munich

$6.00

The German powerhouse has launched into second spot in the betting at $6 after drawing Manchester United, Galatasaray, and FC Copenhagen in a blockbuster Group A.

They proved too strong for United in their opening match, running out 4-3 winners on the back of goals to Leroy Sane, Serge Gnabry, Harry Kane and Mathys Tel.

Kane’s inclusion has been the main catalyst for market support, with the former Hotspur’s inclusion making Bayern a genuine threat to Manchester City’s title.

With United still improving under Ten Hag, expect Bayern to roll through this Group as they try to win their seventh title and first since 2020.

Real Madrid

$8.50

Death, taxes, and Los Blancos in a UCL futures discussion.

The 14-time European champions currently sit at $8.50 with Bet Nation following their first two Group games, with victory over Union Berlin (1-0) and Napoli (3-2).

Despite Real losing Karim Benzema to Al Ittihad, they still have the cattle to compete at the top level, with Luka Modric and Jude Bellingham leading their side to seven wins from their first eight LaLiga games.

Carlo Ancelotti is no stranger to the ultimate success as the most decorated manager in UEFA Champions League history with four titles.

Never, ever, ever sleep on Real Madrid.

Napoli

$26.00

Yes, we’ve already sung the praises of Real Madrid, and yes, they’re in the same Group as Napoli, but we can’t go past them at the juicy $26 on offer.

Last year’s Serie A champions sent the city into raptures with their dominant 28 wins throughout the season while also winning five of their six Group A matches against Liverpool, Ajax, and Rangers.

They’ve got a formidable home record a passionate fan base, and we can’t see either Union Berlin or Braga doing any damage against the likes of Victor Osimhen et al in the Group stage.

It will certainly be a tough ask for a team that’s only ever won three Serie A titles, but hey, they’re certainly in form.
