Mr Brightside $5.00
Mr Brightside can defend his Doncaster Mile title on Saturday.
The Bullbars gelding is arguably racing better than he was 12 months ago, and his recent win in the All Star Mile was breathtaking.
His record at the mile is simply incredible, and his fourth-up performances have all been perfect bar one.
From barrier two, he should get the run of the race, and if Zac Purton finds clear air at the right time, he will prove hard to hold out.
Carrying 5kg more than last year’s edition is the primary concern.

Zougotcha $10.00
Zougotcha is flying this preparation!
The Zoustar filly embarrassed her opposition in the Group 2 Phar Lap stakes at her latest outing, and her run prior in the Group 1 Surround Stakes was sensational.
The form around her has stood up all autumn, and I expect a peak performance on Saturday over the mile.
50.5kg under the handicap conditions is a luxury, and if she can find a spot in the running line from the awkward barrier, she may prove hard to hold out.
The Kerrin Mcevoy and Chris Waller combination needs to be respected, and if the predicted rain arrives in time, her quote will shorten significantly.
Fillies’ record in the race is the primary concern.

Bandersnatch $19.00
Bandersnatch can run a big race on the quick-back up.
His performance last Saturday was first-class, and there is no reason why he can’t produce a similar effort this weekend.
He put his rivals to the sword after sitting three-wide with no cover, and he was still pulling away from the chasing pack 100m past the finishing line.
It was a perfect Doncaster trial, and he looked over the odds from an inside gate.
His fourth-up record is rock-solid, and a soft or heavy track would play in his favour.
His record at the distance is the biggest worry.
